Yes.
So after you updated a SVN'd folder, and you will export the files again, will it be of no harm that you are replacing files already placed there? Also this is my first post hehe. Oh and are the SVN links in this topic post still up to date?
Oh my god how does it work on mac.
I'm having issues, I have installed svn, and even restarted my computer, but for some reason I can't do the svn checkout, so I have no way of doing anything... I'm confused as to why, but thought maybe it was because I have W7, would that be why?
I dont know if i'm just dense or what, but To The Best Of My Knowledge, I have seen no difference in loading times when using Exported (where the .svn folders have been stripped recursively) and when I place the target of the svn checkout directly into the addons folder. Gmod will ignore anything it doesn't know.
Oh trust me, when your Addons folder is over 10gb it takes a while to load everything
Hi new to all this so i'll ask in this thread. When using the sec mouse button to drag and export do i pick. svn export versioned items here or svn export all items here. As there is two options not sure what one we should pick. Also exporting the folder don't keep the green tick,is that right? or is there a way to keep the green ticks so it becomes easy to update instead of exporting all the time after an update.

If you want to update without exporting, you can checkout to a folder in your addons folder. It's up to you whether or not you want to do it that way or the way explained in the tutorial.
why !!!! wat wtf this error: Error: Can't move 'C:\Users\Juliano\Desktop\SVN\Gmod parkour\content\.svn\tmp\entries' Error: to 'C:\Users\Juliano\Desktop\SVN\Gmod parkour\content\.svn\entries': O arquivo Error: ou pasta está corrompido e ilegível. (The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.)
heyy divran, me again. so basically i had to remove all my addons beacuse GMod was so slow. so that meant i had to re-download my SVN's: wiremod, SB3 and Stargate. now, when i downloaded wiremod, it downloaded fine. but when i went to play single player, wiremod worked fine. however, stargate and LS3 would not show up on the tool menu. when i went onto multiplayer CAF and Stargate did show up on the tool menu. yet it showed errors instead of a stargate and gate caller. i reckon this is becuase when i went to download the stargate SVN, at thend of it i got an error message saying: REPORT of '/stargate/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read response body: connection was closed by server (http://svn.daggeringcats.com) and then underneath it says: operation failed any ideas? p.s also my sb3 still wont work in single player :S
when i try the stargate link it asks for a username and password? nvm i learned how to read xP
inferior, convenience is greater than support something of which SVN lacks in all attributes.
I keep searching for the Garrys Mod addon folder but cant seem to find it, so I can't export Wiremod. Anything I am missing? Edit: Never Mind found it.
First, great thread and very useful. I have a question though and have looked but don't see where it has been asked before. I've got my SVN'd folder I put my addons into before exporting. However when I export it changes the files. I thought it was just supposed to copy them, and it may be but here it what I get. Wire for example: The files I export to my addons folder are Adv Duplicator, wire, wire model pack 1, and lua The files that are in my addons folder after exporting are data, materials, models, settings, sound, lua and a few text folders. I am just wondering why it doesn't just export the folders and their original names instead of changing them. Thanks
Oh my fucking god I have NO idea what to do when it comes to exporting:suicide:
