Mine was Gmod 10, before the EP2 update. I was amazed of it, and the first things I did were:
-A statue of Gman with a thruster in the butt (:4chan:)
-A bathtub spaceship piloted by the Almighty Nazi Kleiner! (a Kleiner statue put into a "Heil Hitler"'ish pose)

I was looking around for war of the worlds stuff and accidentaly stumbled across war of the servers. *takes a drag*
I watched it because i had nothing better to do and found out about Gmod. (which i had read about many a year ago but dismissed it because i thought all it did was fix the stalker spawning error in HL2) so i searched garry's mod on youtube and from then on my targer was set.
i bought HL2 for the pc Specificley to play garry's mod but then disaster struck. My payapl account didint like me. It wouldn't allow me to complete the transaction because i had the one debit card the internet doesn't like. BUT help was at hand. I sent the money to my mate who gifted the game to me and that was it. I was in. It was a go.
I had entred the best game i have ever played in Years.
the first thing i did was try to re create the canons the admins used in WOTS.
Aaah, I remember the day well. It was a fine, sunny day, and after about 5 hours straight looking at Garry's Mod contraptions on Youtube, I finally decided to buckle up and buy Garry's Mod. Best $10 I've ever spent.
I played Gmod 9 at my cousins place. Just flung ragdolls everywhere and had NPC battles.
Good stuff.
I built a fort out of boxes (without using easy weld) and a crappy door with a fence around the base so zombies couldn't destroy it...
I hid in the dark room on construct back in GMod before the update, hey! I had a good reason.. I spawned about a hundred combine supers with Annabelles outside and ran, I didn't know how to undo things :v:
Also, join date = purchase date + 1.5 months.

I remember when I first got gmod. I made a jeep that was frozen about 8 feet in the air, roped to the ground with balloons on it and set on fire.

My first Gmod was Gmod10 i bought it 10 months ago back then all the day i was playing gmod now i'm taking it a bit slow to much gmod hurts

I got GMod a bit after 10 came out, I made a bath tub car and a pod with balloons on it so I could fly to the roof :D
The first time I stepped upon gm_construct's soil, was back in GMod v5.
I thought it was so cool that you could do all the things you wanted to do in hl2, like spawn a few dozen explosive barrels in the midst of the citadel, and blow it all up.
The first thing I did was, made a car out of a train, and ran headcrabs over with it. It was really fun at the time.
GMod has come a long way since then.
The other day, I was playing GMod v7, and I was listening to hl2 song17, and it gave me a strong feeling of nostalgia right then, while looking at the mess of 40 minutes of playing made.
I remember first playing GMod after being introduced to it by a friend who was playing in an internet café. It took me a few minutes before he told me you can hold Q to open the menu :downs:
I also fell prey to the 'not-knowing-e-rotates-and-shift+e-rotates-by-45-degree-angles' physgun thing. I used to always align my props by shoving them into a corner :v:
I spent ages sticking thrusters on things, spawning & killing NPCs, welding stuff, all the usual minge stuff. Great fun, and after getting a 3V card I finally bought it at home. A shame I couldn't download mods while at the café, I used to take ages to load in a random server because they had so many things. :B

I can remember real good, because it was yesterday, I was whatching Gmod vidoes and said, "This game is awesome," then I bought it.
Gmod 10.
My friend and I had just bought Gmod and we decided to get a Star Wars model pack for it and stuck a hundred thrusters on the spaceships. They did huge backflips. We laughed our asses off.
I got it 2 years ago on Christmas Day, the day I got almost every Valve game I own, and I remember thinking, "FUCK THESE LOAD TIMES". Gmod 10, this was, had been out for a bit, and I decided I really can't read this thread much longer because of how depressed I am that I didn't play this game earlier.
I got Gmod V3 ages ago, but i never joined facepunch until 2007 so i spent like 3 years without facepunch, i don't know how a managed without it
I was fiddling about with Halo 3 forge mode, when a friend told me about G-Mod. I looked it up on Wikipedia and YouTube, fell head-over-heels in love, and bought it.
That was a little over 3 weeks ago, and I'm still in love with the old gal [Even though she goes all S&M on my cooling fan, and she still can't stand violence (She throws a hissy fit whenever something dies, and crashes)]

I first played gmod nine when I was like nine. All that I can remember about it was that the only other game my brother would let me play was sven co-op, and I would constantly play it. Then, I heard of gmod.org. Gmod 10 came out before I could get some stuff for gmod 9, and because of my stupid internet searching back then my dad had to empty the computer out like three times a week. There was a long time of not playing it, then my dad got it for me. Second greatest thing he ever did for me besides humping my mom fourteen years ago lol :)
I got GMod barely a year ago, started playing, thought it was okay. Never really liked it that much, though. But then.. the gates of the intrunatz opened. RP, SpaceBuild, Sandbox, Zombies.. I mean! What can't you do?! It's infinite boundries! You can build a huuuge spacestation or have a seagull take a crap on Alyx! Whatever, do what ya' feel like! *goes berserk*
Heh, I started out with a pirated version of GMOD 10. :v:
All I did was making death poses with CS:S models and then blow up the place. Then I actually bought it for the multiplayer experience and it was awesome.
As did I. I downloaded Gmod 10 from somewhere and started playing it. I remember that i made alot of bathtub cars and spawned zombies. Then killed em all. Then i decided to buy Gmod 10 (Ep2 engine) and it was GREAT! I've had the game for half a year now.
I first got "Garry's mod 9" in 2006, and I loved it! then a few months later I got "Garry's mod 10", and I think i have been playing it for like 40 hours per week ever since. ;)
i think i was trowing around ragdolls for a few hours in gmod 10 (yes,it was standalone for 2 days i got it back then)
Gmod made me buy steam because it was so awesone and bugged (missing models etc.
now i bought garrysmod 11 css and hl2 hl2 ep2 :v:
Saw it at my friends house. i were all like :excited: and ran home. I managed to make my dad buy it for me. My happiest day in my life.
I love Garry's Mod. I remember trying to make cars with the wheel tool. I never could do it until my cousin told me I had to press E on wheels to make them all spin in the correct direction.
