I first played Garrys Mod about a year and a half ago. We were too cheap, to we just downloaded 9, because we already had all of the games.
But I was stupid.
I did not figure out E is for rotate until I started playing Gmod 10.
Got it yesterday after watching 'Idiots of GMod 1 & 2'. First thing I did was attach thrusters to Alyx, Barney, Breen and Gman's feet, with different coloured trails and set them off. The theory was that they would take off like jets in the same direction, but instead they simply went beserk.

heh, ME TOO! Except I couldn't see the objects, I posted a question about it in the help forms, so I said screw it I'm just gunna buy it.
I was looking at youtube for Rube Goldberg contraptions and stumbled onto Garrysmod. I had never even heard of Half Life 2 at the time.
Well, I downloaded it (Torrent, Yes I feel bad now) sometime in 2006 or 2007 and spent the rest of my hours playing that. Then when I got Orange Box for Christmas I knew all about steam without even having an account or the software installed. After a stressful morning trying to get steam to install (After I got rid of Daemon Tools it worked) I got everything to work.
I then saw that there was a 10% discount on everything in the Steam store so I decided to PAY for gmod. Wow. Amazing. It was less fun until I found out I needed CS:S to have the most used textures and models, got that in the spring/early summer. BLOWN AWAY.
I am very happy with the game, I love the fact that I can do anything if I wanted to.
I got Gmod V4 and then i got addicted to the game but it crashed alot so then i waited for V6 to come out and then i got V8 and Gmod 9 and 10 then i got Gmod Beat 2007.
I started with Gmod 10 (the first time i saw the game to be honest) I was like wow i need that game for sure! but now I overplayed it :( but I'm going to buy servers to make my community grow :)
I started with GMod 10. When I first saw it I was like WOWs! I made a few homeless people using the ragdolls and Gman falling from a helicopter with Alyx going Oh My Gosh! Good Time, Good Times.
Idiots of Garry's Mod made me buy it haha.
I can remember It.
I still have a picture In my head of It, My brother showed me youtube
videos of gmod 9.
And one day and go to the store, And see. Half-life 2 :v:. We fired that
baby up, my brother made a jeep with a bunch of spikes :keke:, When I
played with it. I fell In love with the ragdolls :v:, The first thing I did
was spawn a bunch of zombie ragdolls. :D This was back In early 06.
i rememer my first time on gmod
i got out the gman npc and got out the man hack gun and let them deal with him
i knew a friend that had it a year later i had nothing to one day so i got gmod and i loved it
My first contraption:
I was imitating the tutorials, so obviously, a box car.
The next thing I did was hang Gman by the horse statue.
And all sorts of other things.
Ahh... the first time I played gmod 10.

The first time i heard about G mod was when my friend told me that he found a neat mod, i went to visit my friend but he did not give me a chanse to play the goddamn game! So i went home, bought the goddamn game and i first went to singleplayer my hands were shaking! It was so cool! Killing combines, making crappy looking bases, funny ragdolls, i loved it! So i went to multi player and i had 300 ping, so i got kicked like every 2 minutes, but i didnt care! I still loved it, i made crappy ragdolls, duplicated other peoples things, and killed mingebags, it was fun XD!
Its amazing to have a flashback of that time... because now im a phx ninja, ill make you a goddamn ANYTHING if you pay me ;P!

gmod 9... the first time i got it i freaked out and was spawning crap, using random tool guns... and then it happened... i said to myself (in a deep funny dummy voice) "Hey! i wanna be a hawt cool Combine dood! haw haw haw..." and then i started roleplaying... ahhh... one of the best decisions of my life :3
I started on Gmod9. I remember that I was searching on new skins for HL2, and saw the Gmod9 installer on one of the sights. I kept seeing mentions of Gmod here and there, so one day I decided to try it.
I never regretted it. $10 later, I got Gmod10, and I think that is still worth 3x what I paid for. Gmod, in general, is just so awesome.
I do cuz it was about a week ago after watching that Vince vs Billy May video on youtube. I make machinima in Halo 3 and I wanted to see how it was done in other games. This game is so awesome and I'm glad I got it.
It was back when my internet liked me. I bought and installed Gmod within 45 minutes. Last time I re-installed it, it took about 4 days to install.
when i first got gmod i built a fort out of breakable boxes (without using weld/easy weld lol) and then putting some fence around it (you can shoot around it) then i spawned zombies to attack the fort...it was great...

I think I started in Gmod 3. I remember you could weld people to walls lol, or at least their vehicle they were driving in. Can't really remember.
There was that one map with the building in the middle and that was like the best one
Early Gmod 10 :D Around June 2007
I remember joining some zs server at first, and being ignited by the admin for no reason at all (Yes, I had changed my name from mingebag) I then joined Killa's zs server, and have played there alot, and was not ignited randomally like I was on whatever others server it was. Am now trial admin ^^
I started with Gmod 3 or so, stuck with it until 9c, then stopped. I started again at about September last year.
April 2006, my friend talked to me about it.
I first played Gmod when I got Gmod 10 back in December 2008.
I first played GMod at version 7. I think I found it while I was looking for HL2 mods, but I can't remember now.
