For that to happen, Garry would have to turn gmod into an actual game (to not depend on other source games) and make the portal gun actually part of gmod, making the physics around the portals act like in Portal (since valve had to change all of it in Portal, making them like that would completely fuck gmod up, Garry would have to make a shitload of code to make the game detect stuff around a portal, crate clones of the props/tools used on the other side of the portals and change the way they interact with each other, all in the normal source engine...)
I'd like to have an impossible addon that would make the source engine's water realistic. Dynamic water owns all.
A realistic damaging system that actually gave each of your body parts specific types of damages and doesn't sum up all damage in one way for all parts.
It would go all the way to NPC's, where it would be a superb version of dismemberment mod in which every fiber of their body and armor is treated like an individual fiber or drop. Actually, I don't know about that. That's a maybe.
But it would even go on to buildings and vehicles. Say you fire an RPG round into one of the buildings on gm_bigcity. The windows near and on the explosion shatter, and an amount of concrete flies off in respect to the strength of whatever it is that just hit the building.
And it would cause no lag.

A mod where you buy it in a GMod Store. Like an actual store in real life. There are a bunch of mods. And a mod where you buy this thing, attach to your head, then it makes you fall asleep and you play the game in a dream with other people. The game would be life like. OMG it would be amazing. LOL.

A huge map that you could explore forever with varying types of environments and areas you could use for rp and areas you could use for building stuff, but there would always be new places to find. I don't think thats even possible with hammer though.

A decent HUD would be nice.
All the current addon ones are way to overly flamboyant and annoying.
There are also minimal ones i know... but there needs to be a decent basic one.
