No, you see, it means -4.
Okay, I'm reporting a bug that has crashed Gmod several times. Basically, it seems (at least sometimes) that when a complex contraption launches from a planet, all of the constrained objects keep their actual position, but their rotation resets completely, and individually. My friends and I just worked for a few hours on a complex spaceship, launched it, and saw this occur. On other occasions, Gmod simply crashed before we knew what happened, but this time we saw the glitch happen. The ship left the planet at an angle, an suddenly all of the props were parallel with the x/y plane. We tried nocolliding things, but then the server just crashed competely. Please see what you can do. In the meantime, we're just building in space. Sorry if I've been redundant in this post, but I just wanted to be complete, since I know how annoying pinpointing problems in code can be.
When I turn the air compressor on, it immediatly shuts off, why does this happen?
Depends on where you're trying to use it.
Air compressors only work on planets with a breathable atmosphere, such as Earth. They also don't work underwater. If they still don't work, make sure it's wired up to an energy cell. I think even with air exchangers on an otherwise uninhabitable planet, they still wouldn't work.

Where you using hydraulics? I had this problem with wire hydraulics until I started using the svn version.
I could not get wire to work with the gamemode (making a atmospheric probe linked to a radio). I got it from the wire addon thread do not think its the SVN version mind.
DO you have to use that version, and if so what is it and where can i get it from?
(sorry if that is a little off topic)
When I turn the air compressor on, it immediatly shuts off, why does this happen?
Just use about 6 oxygen scrubbers for a constant air supply in any atmosphere.

No hydraulics, to the best of my knowledge, but I think we've been using winches. Would this cause the problem?
Hello all. Just a quick update on my spacebuild map with a pic of the home planet there is a lot more than just one planet but I don't want to show them yet because that would ruin the fun!
Here it is:

Also this is where I plan to put a star gate as earth control.

I think that is a perfect place to put it! Out of the way but underground.
Let me know what you think of the home planet!
Edit:
Never mind I think I have fixed it I forgot to change something that was causing it to disable itself!
Conman: Beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn't help myself from going to EVERY SINGLE PLANET in the new map via noclipping. I guess with a new map, I'll be able to discover them myself. :)
Can one help me?
when i is in space there is gravity and i doesn't lose health :-(
Please Help.

do you have lifesupport
That's very nice map :D
But i got a problem. When i spawn something on ground, it goes under it...
It isn't only on some concrete plate on "earth"...
It have to, or i really got a problem?
do you have lifesupport
Yes but there is still gravity outside the planets.
Yes but there is still gravity outside the planets.
You are dumb conner said there is no gravity outside earth
You are dumb conner said there is no gravity outside earth
Yes there is gravity outside earth on my computer.
When I turn the air compressor on, it immediatly shuts off, why does this happen?
Are you in a habitable atmosphere? Does the compressor have a source of energy?
Yes there is gravity outside earth on my computer.
Select 'Spacebuild' as the gamemode before you start the map, otherwise none of the triggers work.

Conna :eng101:
Unless there *is* a conner... :ninja:
The spacebuild thing should go in gamemodes, not addons, if that's what you're doing.
Are you in a habitable atmosphere? Does the compressor have a source of energy?
Yes, everything but tanks require energy in order to function. Exchangers, compressors, scrubbers, even probes. Generators even require to have their source of energy that would be found naturally (such as the sun or the water)

Correction my name is Connor! You are all wrong! :eng101:
I'm most likely not going to get around to finishing the gamemode that went with this. So I converted it for spacebuild. I'll release it sometime tommorrow after a full compile.

Amazing! Man I just got upstaged :( There is nothing that could compete with that! However it looks awesome! Red planet with lava is cool! Beats my volcano any day.
Man, just awesome. Can't wait for it. =|
[ EDIT : Damn, little bug. ]
Where you using hydraulics? I had this problem with wire hydraulics until I started using the svn version.
I had a similar problem, I was using Hydraulics but not wired, just standard, it was the way I got into my shuttle. The rear floor lowered about 110 units to the ground. :D
But luckily I made a save before lauching it, so I didn't lose it.
That's Goddamn awesome, Jinto. I'm going to have to get me some of those fancy-lookin' planets. :P
wooowie, Nice jinto

I do but that doesn't work
