Why doesn`t I die when I'm outside earth?
And I'm using the life support. I alos entered "sbox_godmode 0", so It's kind of strange.
I am having the same problem, although i haven't tried te sbox_godmode thingy yet.
Where is the download link!
Wow, someone named Ziffo just made a right swanky moonbase on my server!

The airlock doors even used Wire's target finder with short range to open automatically!
I know Ziffo I was playing on an RP server with him!
I was just thinking of an idea for this: Radiation
The general idea is that some planets have radioactivity on them, in certain areas or covering the planet, which can be used to power a collector which in turn charges batteries. But radiation would also have to have negative effects such as view distortion (if applicable,) damage to your health, heating your body, and lasting effects outside the radiation zone. The way to counteract the effects of the radiation could be done two ways: 1. It utilizes a new feature to life support which is drained over time while in radiation and slowly recovers outside of it, save for the lasting effects which can only be removed by using a cleaner which feeds off O2 or coolant supplies (or both.) Also, since some planets don't have radiation, make fuel rods spawn-able that have increased negative effects and slightly reduced output.
Can someone reupload this and V2C patch? Garrysmod is down....So i can't download
I am having the same problem, although i haven't tried te sbox_godmode thingy yet.
Do you have the Handheld Portal Device beta?
Whilst I had it installed, I didn't take any 'space damage', like what you guys are describing. When I got rid of it, the damage came back on.
Edit:
Any word on the release of this?
Yea, I was wondering the same thing.
Jinto said he would release it 'tomorrow' about a week ago...
But I'm not really complaining; I can wait a little longer for something that looks as awesome as that :excited:.

There should be a bar that indicates how much a player has been radiated, and it should be possible to remove the amount of radiation the player has suffered by two ways: Using anti-radiation medicines or plain 'ol vodka.
Get out of here Stalker. But no, seriously, you would need to be cleaned of it, vodka wouldn't clean your body of the radiation and neither would medicine. Medicine temporarily reduce the effects? Maybe. Clean you? No.
Oddly enough, whenever I try to start a single-player with this and Life Support running spacebuild gamemode on the spacebuild map My gmod crashes. I'll mess around with it, though. Either an interference or my stupidity.
EDIT: Well, it's the gamemode. I started spacebuild without the gamemode and it worked fine. Started with the gamemode on flatgrass and it crashed. Hmm.
EDIT 2: I was wrong. Gmod just crashes. Reinstallation COMMENCE!
Hehe i was just joking around =). Of course medicines or vodka wouldn't work, being exposed to radiation would leave horrendous scars, internal bleeding and such. There are preventive medicines and countermeasures, but vodka are not one of 'em.
Radioactive explosions, internal bleeding, anoying wife. There is only one way to protect yourself from these dangers
Hacks?
Or cocks?
I am so confused :v:
vodka storage tanks and vodka generator. Also available in larger sizes
Moving links to main thread...
Also, here is Life Support 1.7:
Hooray! :excited:
Can you give us a quick changelog? Or is it included with the download?
It made me go wafles
I'll post the links and info on the main thread as soon as GarrysMod.org is working...
What you'll notice so far is that Mars has a red colormod while Mercury has bloom, these are to demonstrate entities that mappers can use to further define planetary environments. A lot of changes under the hood in this version, it looks like SpaceBuild and LifeSupport have been sufficiently decoupled to allow their development to take separate paths.
It's back up, now give us a changelog bitch! :ninja:
Might have to refresh it a couple times, but I got it working.
Garrysmod.org is up, but not accepting uploads. :(
Garrysmod.org is up, but not accepting uploads. :(
:argh: Curse you, garrysmod.org!
You, sir are a genius!
Also: you may want to make more odvious that the filefront link is spacebuild v3, because I thought it was the life support thing again, and then nothing worked. :|
Yeah, didn't realise that gmod.org wasn't accepting downloads, just thought it was down in general. My mistake.
Testing it out now with my brother, i have been waiting for this with great anticipation!!!
Well, I tried this out, and have some sudgestions to make about the fusion reactor.
1: Make it use up a LOT more coolant, one generator shouldn't be enough to keep it stable. Three should keep it stable, 4 should increase coolant.
2: Make it die faster without coolant, it takes like 10 minutes to explode without any coolant, it should take 2 or 3.
3: Make it explode in a massive fireball, sort of like if you detonate the nuclear SWEP in mid air, but a LOT smaller, would have the radius of like a cargo container.
Overall, it needs to be a lot more dangerous for the massive ammounts of energy it gives you.

It is only dangerous if you have enough energy in the system to go critical, I won't say how much because we can't have servers flooding with fusion nukes now can we? ;)
I get that I'm supposed to delete older versions of Lifesupport to make way for V1.7, but do I do the same for spacebuild V3?
Me and my brother just made a reactor go critical...
Amazing explosion, we thought we where at a safe distance!
I doubt you will need the amount of energy required to cause the detonation, but just encase i would defend your generator well! :D
I love the other stuff too Shanjaq, qudos on the mod :thumb:
I still get the old spacebuild map;(
*cries*
I can't play the beautiful new spacebuild update!!
Alot of people are getting this problem (thread here: http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/showthread.php?t=309280 ) and unfortunately, to correct this, we now can't play spacebuild or any COOL gamemode.
So for most people who crash to desktop when the map loads, now you know why :(
It may be because of the portal gun. When I downloaded it, i started crashing.
Any smart lua coders out there, we'd really appreciate some help in fixing this!

OOOH! Interplanetary nuclear missile here I come! :D
Also, how do the plant hydroponics work?
