Or wait a few years for episode 2 to come out and see what Valve does with the map size limitations.
This is awesome!
Space Build is something great, and vast in use ! Why there was no mention about it in War of the Servers ?
WotS was being made before this mod was released.
I wonder if someone can help. I'm trying to make a map for a mod but Starbox doesn't seem to want to work. The texture in Hammer just comes up as being there but with the error grid as if it was currupt or empty. Can anyone help?
By the way, this IS in WotS, near to the end. Not for long, but it's there.
Damn,i don't have any of those stools! Please can someone help me?!! :/
I'd really want the ability to remove drag from things that are in space...
Edit: Awesomeness. Spacebuild owns.
Awesome! :excited: I was playing this all day today for my first time :)
When I try to use the link tool with anything I get an error message. Something along the lines of "conduit source invalid". Thanks.
When I try to use the link tool with anything I get an error message. Something along the lines of "conduit source invalid". Thanks.
That just means you're linking it to the wrong thing.
That just means you're linking it to the wrong thing.
No I have used it many times before. I just updated to the newer version. It is a simple link like using the link tool and connecting a solar panel and a energy cell together. That fails to work for me.
What is the biggest spacebuild map released?
My map is the max size for source, and I'm pretty sure all the other ones are as well. There's really no reason for them not to be. Sorry if this was already mentioned but it's a long thread: Does Shanjaq know that Spacebuild is the cause all of the 'ctulink list overflow' errors? They happen on all spacebuild maps. It hapened more often on mine, and we think it is because I didn't put in an env_sun. I don't actually know much about it but ComWalk helped me out with a fix. I posted it in the gooniverse thread if you want to check it out.
Nothing is more terrifying than realizing you didn't pack enough coolant, and you're half-way between your take off point and destination. I love this gamemode.
Hey is it just me or everyone but it seems the space build maps run slow to the point of unplayable, and don't go saying my computer sucks, I have a 7600 GS and a 3.00 Ghz dual core processor. Possibly a speed improvement in space build would get me into doing more space build.
Your computer sucks, I am sorry.
Your computer sucks, I am sorry.
Ok then, why would my computer suck or do you just like saying that? Now, on the other hand my RAM sucks and I know that. The only thing better than my CPU is a Intel Core 2 Duo series. I know this for the fact I used 3D Mark 05' though 07' and checked scores the only thing that beat it CPU-wise is Core 2 Duos, overall my computer scored high on all except for 07'. My video card only suffers on F.E.A.R with all settings on, which I'm forced to run the game at max resolution because of my crappy LCD screen. Stock HL2 runs at an average of 60fps with ALL setting on except for Anti-Aliasing on 2x, with quality on High Quality. The only reasonable solution is to improve the performance on space build, the fact all of my hardware is all the current and most expensive to upgrade, 1Gb of ram for my PC to be acceptable is $100 or more! Heh, I think it's my ram because the Life support props randomly disappear, floating in space not finding the invisible props is hazardous to your health.
Your computer sucks, I am sorry.
It's got nothing to do with his computer, fool. Some part of the Spacebuild gamemode makes the Spacebuild maps run much slower than they do in any other gamemode.
I unfortunately gave up on the Spacebuild Gamemode. It was causing my dedicated server to crash quite frequently, and I was unable to track the route cause because I could not read the MDMP files. I may try again once it has gone some additional releases, but for now I must give up. Good luck on future versions!
I have always been wondering what Chapter 2 would be like.
I have always been wondering what Chapter 2 would be like.
It seems that aVoN is working on some pretty cool additions to his Stargate mod. I hear rumors of server to server gates. This would tie in great with the next version of Spacebuild.
It's got nothing to do with his computer, fool. Some part of the Spacebuild gamemode makes the Spacebuild maps run much slower than they do in any other gamemode.
Is there a possible solution even if it's temporary? Gooniverse has a fix for clients but does nothing much for me. What is also strange is no matter how low my settings are it runs the same speed. That makes no sense, for the fact I have the second to the best processor series that Intel makes as far as I know, besides my CPU is rated at 5.60Ghz.
This gamemod wins. Edit: This gamemod wins. Edit: This gamemod wins.
Wins what?
This gamemod wins. Edit: This gamemod wins. Edit: This gamemod wins.
Okay. Edit: Okay. Edit: Okay.
when i get on my map theres not breathing limit like when i enter no clip and go out of home planet i dont have a breathing bar...does anyone know how to fix that?
Does anyone else have issues with this crashing their server frequently? I would desperately love to run it again, but it seems like it or maybe life support systems causes my dedicated to crash way to frequently for me to deal with. I was running sb_gooniverse and a slew of other mods.
