There are definitely some crashing problems with this gamemode. I'm guessing its from the stress of constantly calculating and sending the variables for each life support device and link. Still amazing though.
What software did you use to make this map and were do you get it

What entity does the gamemode use to determine where the sun is?
I’d have to agree with the server crashing problem which unfortunately frequent on my server, which I constantly find it down because of this. There are other mods on the server, but I have noticed that generally ping is double that of what it would usually be from sandbox to be on SpaceBuild. I think the map has a lot to do with it, more prominent on Solarsystem and Gooniverse, but still something to do specifically with this gamemode none the less. I wish Shanjaq could come out with an update for this problem.

My ideal update for this would be to use those safe zones sometimes seen on RP maps, make each planet only render the planets and their atmospheres, or perhaps just use far simpler textures, its quite far off so anyone playing on the ground will see nothing much different something like that would be incredibly useful. Requesting a small change to the code... Either make the planets table global, or provide some functions to allow developers to modify it. That would not only make Spacebuild extensions easier, but would allow for the introduction of terraforming mods and other cool things. I don't know if that's reason enough to release a new version of Spacebuild, but I do know that a lot of developers would appreciate it.
Can this gamemode be released as an addon? If there is some way it could recognize space maps and only then become active, it would become compatible with other gamemodes.
I’m having trouble getting the space effects to work on sb_gooniverse, Can anyone enlighten me on how I can resolve this?
Okay, this gamemode is cool indeed but why is it called chapter 1:The solar system? Will there ever be a chapter 2?
I don't have a skybox... I also can't seem to get anything working right at all. I installed everything, and when I spawn anything from the life support system, there are a bunch of never-ending errors at the top right of my screen. I can't get them to work properly either.
I tend to have the best performance on gooniverse, after all of the extra stuff is gone. There has to be something wrong with Spacebuild. I ran Solarsystem v2 in sandbox and spacebuild. Spacebuild: 10-30 Fps with drops as low as 5 Fps. Sandbox: 35-70 Fps with spikes as high as 90 Fps. On a nVidia 7600 GS, slightly over clocked. Intel Pentium D 3.00 Ghz rated at 5.60 Ghz. Well I'll stick to sandbox mode for now, great gamemode though!
Can someone please just stuff everything into one download? This multiple zip files and addons make things MUCH too complicated

Most people make a readme or post a "how to" where they have the file. If they don't have a readme, it will usually go in addons unless the way the files are packaged specifies otherwise. A time saver though is a Life Support, Spacebuild package. I wouldn't include Wiremod because the SVN is very active and a better choice.

I looked in my garrysmod folder myself but I can't find a section called "gamemode". Please can someone help me? I have got Lifesupport and I can't wait to start my expedition to mars! :)

I have got Lifesupport and I can't wait to start my expedition to mars! :)[/QUOTE] It depends, i can't remember what folders are contained but if the rar includes materials, maps etc, throw it into your Garrysmod > Garrysmod folder. If however there is one file called spacebuild or anything then open it and see if there is a file called info, if there is then open that and if it says "AddonInfo" in the top corner then put the whole folder into the addon folder.

Hopefully Space build gets updated.
Important question for someone, has anyone else had the problem where it changes from space build to sandbox out of no where?

Hi I have just downloaded and patched the latest space build and i also have the latest distribution and life support mods but i canot get space build to work. Well it works but the sky is messed up, the sky box of the atmosphear when i am inside a planet is sky blue and as soon as i leave the atmosphear the background floods white and it just messes up and that is my problem so i would be gratefull if any of you were to enlighten me about this. thanks in advance

Spacebuild and Life Support need updating in order to be compatible with the new update because they don't work at the moment, well life support doesn't.

thanks for that snake_1_1 that fixed the life support but the background is still messed up :(
