Please, I beg of thee, fix it if you have the time :(
Some components are still broken. Supply connecter and some other components that have a messed up text box.

I'll see what I can do to fix those. The text boxes are because they got changed somewhere in the base code. I will need to find a workaround or see how to expand them.
when are we going to see some sort of a fix for the skyboxes? Are all these errors from garry's plan to remove addon overides?

Not all of them. There also have feen some other fixes (loop protection, variablenames can't be function names , atleast I think it is that, ...)
-Variable names can't be function names.
-Addon override is deceased.
-Tools are added to the tool menu differently.
Only loop protection is agains infinite loops, so yah.
so basically coders have to recreate all these mods that are now not working as they we're
No, small parts need to be edited. The changes aren't drastically huge, they just muck up the code if you had a variable with the same name as a function.
Which is supposedly bad practice anyway.
Ignore me, i just saw my question asked somewhere else, sorry.
That'll be fixed in the next update (monday)
For now you can do gl_clear 1 in the console to just have the skybox black instead of hall of mirrors..
Theirs your answer to the background problem :P
:excited: Woohoo!
Does anyone know if Shanjag is going to continue updating Spacebuild and Life Support?
If he's not should someone else take it over?
I PM'ed him. He ignored it.

Did the same, he hasn't replied either :(
Edit:
That's why I'm asking.
If he's not going to continue I might give it a try to update it.
(oh yea, the low fps has something to do with the bloom/color effects)
Make it a var so you can turn that off serverside? Is that an idea?
Garry knocked us back into the stone age with that new update. It's up to ONE MAN by the name of snake to get us back to the space age.
How will he ever do it!? Sorry had to add that for fun!
It does seem like snake is going around the forums fixing everything screwed up by the update. Funny because the update didn't actually add anything that I like, I liked it better before. Only thing I think is good is how the menus are collapsible, but that seems to be screwing up a lot of stuff.

It's not so much what it does now as what it will do later. Better to clean things up now than wait until they're even worse.
Will it ever get fully fixed or is it totally broken, and what is the current state of this?
Garry is releasing an update to fix the spacebuild skybox today.
As for lifesupport, download hydrogen systems. It replaces lifesupport completely and adds some new functionality. It's also updated via SVN, and has been fixed yesterday.

I'm thinking we should make the core and the entities seperate, so it's easier for people to chose which one they want. I'm going to start a thread about this when I get home. (Also some stuff about SpaceBuild)
Wait wait wait. What? What do you want to do?
Wait wait wait. What? What do you want to do?
Make LS itself core only, make the entities in a seperate folder. Want to use Hydrogen instead of vanilla, just remove the entities folder and put the hydrogen one in it's place, maybe also ask what people would like to see changed/added.
And for spacebuild. I'm going to ask what people would like to see changed/added. Also going to try to improve some stuff a bit.
Aaaaah. But, what if I remove the hydrogen storage, but not the hydrogen fusion reactor? Then I'm not going to be able to store hydrogen :keke:
Oh never mind, it doesn't matter. I'll be using LSH anyway :)
..huh?

It's not going to be that every entitie will be seperate, it would be entitie packs (so a default pack, which you don't need to use, and all the others which you can choose between which ones you want.)
Hello everyone. I have been trying to get SpaceBuild to work for a day now and I seem to be having no success. I have installed Spacebuild 3.0 and 3.1, 18205_resource_distribution(gmod-beta), and 18204_life_support18c(gmod-beta), all done correctly. However in the game itself, when I use the link tool to connect 2 things like a solar panel and an energy storage device, the 1st thing I shoot to link turns invisible. Just poof its gone.
I had originally installed the non-beta version of the distro and life support and then overwrote those with the beta versions, so should I start again from scratch or something?
Or even better can someone tell me exactly which packages to install from scratch to avoid any issues and lua errors?
Than ks for the help in advance.
Just wondering if SpaceBuild really works the way it used to after the update.
It's working just fine for me. I don't know about the linking error some people are having, but the latest SVN of Lpine's Hydrogen Life Support doesn't have it so I definitely suggest trying that if you're having problems.
