Hello everyone. I have been trying to get SpaceBuild to work for a day now and I seem to be having no success. I have installed Spacebuild 3.0 and 3.1, 18205_resource_distribution(gmod-beta), and 18204_life_support18c(gmod-beta), all done correctly. However in the game itself, when I use the link tool to connect 2 things like a solar panel and an energy storage device, the 1st thing I shoot to link turns invisible. Just poof its gone. I had originally installed the non-beta version of the distro and life support and then overwrote those with the beta versions, so should I start again from scratch or something? Or even better can someone tell me exactly which packages to install from scratch to avoid any issues and lua errors? Than ks for the help in advance.
I have the same exact problem and errors. Anyone know the problem? I know I installed everything right, but there might be something I don't have.
You could try reinstalling those files again. Or wait for an update for RD and/or LS.
I've narrowed it down; it must be a problem with the Lifesupport or the recource disrt. I can't quite get the systems to work properly. Does anyone know how I can fix this? When I start up singleplayer, there's a quick yellow error in the top right that says: cannot start lifesupport_v2 or something. After I try to spawn LS related objects, I just get lua errors.

You can copy/paste it by using the console (esc menu) if it's not there then you will need to press the ~ button, or if that doesn't work, do this: 1) close garrysmod 2) right click on garrysmod 3) advanced startup options 4) add this line: -console 5) press ok 6) startup garrysmod and the console should be there. Now start a sp game and copy past the error to here. Then we might find out what the problem is. Because "cannon start Lifesupport v2" isn't part of vannila LS, I don't know about LS:H.
dude i wan`t to get LS:H, oilmod amd LS to work, now i was told in your thread that LS:H and LS can`t be together. So does the LD:H have LS stuff included?
dude i wan`t to get LS:H, oilmod amd LS to work, now i was told in your thread that LS:H and LS can`t be together. So does the LD:H have LS stuff included?
Yea it has. And the part of the two (ls and ls:h) not working together might change in a while. There is currently being worked on an update for LS and RD. Rather big updates you could say, and the entities won't be included in the core, they will be a seperate addon, so people like LS:H don't need to copy the entire core to work with their stuff. (they are incompatible for the moment because LS:H modified some LS entities, in the next LS core they wouldn't need to copy the core anymore, people would just need to delete the LS entities addon)

This is an error caused by the update. this is where the fixes are needed for.
You didn't download the fix? This is an error caused by the update. this is where the fixes are needed for.
Do you mind linking me? I played with LS on multiplayer. Singleplayer still doesn't work.

Here is one of the fixes (there are several going around, mostly for LS:H I think though)
How come it isn't possible to just make round planets and just round skyboxes and flat literall planets? -Because, it would be pretty far out if there were to be actuall gravity to a rounded terrain (much like a real planet where up is down and down is up varying on the location of each player. -Unless it isn't possible because you might have to make new player animations to turn them upside down.

Second the current spacebuild maps are already the max the source engine can handle. If you want planets like this the maps would need to become even bigger, what isn't possible.
That's true until Source is updated.
Would anyone happen to know why my generators won't turn on, my fusion generator turns on put it doesn't generate power, I think everything is hooked up correctly, and I am also getting TONS of error messages in the upper right part of the screen... Would that have anything to do with these problems??(The messages in the upper right relate to Lua scripting, I get a ton of it when I try to power my Solar Panels... Among other things) P.S. Is it normal for things to disappear or turn bright white when I hover the mouse over them after I hook them up to the generators? EDIT: Things are still turning white, but the generators are now working... Thanks to the LS 1.8cfixed!

The thing that wasn't done in gmod9 was rotating the view, which was not possible. It would not be difficult to do in gmod10 with calcview.
I've still got Gmod 9 in my comp. You know what it's called?
-snip-
Since the update, Space Build isn't showing up in my game modes list anymore. For trouble shooting, I'm starting with a fresh GMod 10 install with nothing but spacebuild. No dice. Any suggestions?
Did you get the new version?
Did you get the new version?
New version? You mean 3.1?
Well I didn't before, but yeah now that you mentioned it, I also downloaded the update. Still nothing. These go in addons, right? They had an info file, so I'm assuming so. Yes, I preserve directory structure when I unzip. Thing is, they show up if I stick them in root gamemodes, inside garrsmod. But if I put them in addons, they don't show up at all. Of course, if I do it that way, the gmod either hangs forever (I have to hard reset) or it CTD's. Is it currently possible to play Spacebuild, with Stargate, on gooniverse map, with life support and resource mod? Because that's honestly all I want to do. I spent all night after work yesterday fighting with this when all I wanted to do was play it for an hour. Whole f-ing night wasted on this.

I made a bug tracker on my website (it's still under construction). Here is the link for it (bugs and suggestions): http://gee-linx.ath.cx/e107_plugins/bug_tracker/bugs.php => Choose OLD LS/RD/SB to report bugs. => for suggestions you can post in the other ones.
For some reason my game does not want to register space as being any different than on earth. I have the fixes for Life Support 1.8c and the fix for Resource Distribution but my game wont work right. Also, for some reason when I link two objects together, the first on I click on becomes transparent. I know others have had this problem, though I am more worried about the first. If anyone can help, please do.
I fixed the problem, but I'm unsure how to fix it sense the method I used does not work for anyone.
Hello everybody. I bought Garry's Mod recently and I always get this error when I try using a resource distribution or life support object. here is a screenshot I have tried multiple times to get it to work, and it just does not want to work. I tried making a new Garrys Mod folder and only using the addons that were needed (SpaceBuild 3.1, Resource Distribution(gmod-BETA) and Resource Distribution 13, Life Support 18c) and even found a manual on garrysmod.org telling me which exact files to download. I really want to try this addon and I spent four hours trying to get it to work. Can you guys please help me? (I rarely talk like this on the internet...)
