Space Build(Chapter 1: The Solar System!) - Garry's Mod

Hi guys Well i just made my own landscape and then i finded this lol. Very good help just what i needed cleaned some stuff up for me Thanks I have some some thing i am not sure on yet. The planets. How do you make the planet / best way to make a ball with the bush tool so you can can texture it. I had alook at sb_gooniverse vmf file to see how its done and there is know Ball type bush going around the landscape. So how did they get it to show the textures of the planet in the game Thanks Anyone got anyidea because i like to start it to night

Hi, I went on trickystutorial.com spacebuild b server and saw some tools under life support called "spacebuild tools" that can construct pieces of spaceships - where can i download this? Oz~

Quick question, I'm not a big fan of the color mod or bloom features, I know I'm being picky here but is there any command or anything to disable them while still using the latest version of spacebuild? EDIT: wow I'm smart, I was using the spacebuildv3, not spacebuild2

Sorry for this noob question, but where I do extract the 4 files from the spacebuild?

Would it be possible to make a, preferably optional, "escape velocity requirement" for the gamemode? I'm thinking each planet would have this, and it'd depend on the gravity level that'd been specified for the place. I confess that the first few times I managed to walk or drive into space were quite amusing, but it's getting a bit old now, I think it'd be a very welcome addition if you had the option of being forced (if that doesn't sound too weird!) to make your ships travel >= to a certain speed for getting into orbit/ or completely overcoming the planet's gravitational influences.

Okay, I have a few problems... D: 1. when I go into space I don't need oxygen (Yes I have life support 2) 2. there is gravity in space (I tried setting the gamemode to "SpaceBuild" 3. how do you mine crude oil? 4. I can't figure out how to make a steam powered thruster. Sorry for all the questions, I'm sure if I read a couple threads I would find most of the answers... EDIT: Wha? Hey just wondering but if i get Gmod10 but i only have CS:Source will this still work? Or do i have to have Half Life 2 or Half Life: Source for this mod to work on Gmod....it now sounds like a dumb question but o well...i really wanna play this lol.

Not sure if this is the place to ask but I'm experiencing a strange "bug" when in space. When I place an object in space(PHX's models & HL2 items as well)they begin to shimmer in a weird blue light. It looks kind of cool but it happens to all of the items and I have trouble in finding out what it is and how to fix it.

If they turn red, they are overheating and require cooling. Hope you learned something.

this game mode is better than sandbox! I love it! Although I'm having problems with LS2/RD2, the problem that's all over that section. Apparently, it only works properly if I have SB2. I have 3, do I have to downgrade then upgrade or what? Edit: Nevermind, after downloading 'beyond the solar system', it's working fine, untill the update broke it...

God damnit garry, if your updates are going to fuck up all the content made for your mod, don't update at all.

I Agree. Also, I'm confused as to exactly what this spacebuild IS. There's this one, which claims to be version 3 and is named 'spacebuild' in game modes, the spacebuild located in the 'beyond the solar system' thread, and another one I tracked down which is spacebuild 2. Which one is the most recent? I'm confused.

If you don't know for sure check the thread/download dates to see which is the most recent. A new version of Spacebuild is the works which will be the official Spacebuild 3.

When i use the spacebuild gamemode none of my weapons are there including my gravity gun...

I can't use tool gun if I click any of the tools. The only thing I can use is Counter Strike weapons and other weapons in weapon section

Yeah its messed. The only things i can use are my sweps.

Check the SB2 thread, the fix in there might work for this OLD version of SB to.
