Personally, I just want the game to use zip files instead of folders for addons.
Compresses stuff for less memory, and the ability to actually shut down addons before you start a server.
And better startup times(starting a single player server with vanilla for me takes 5 mins, don't know why.)
I've got a number of imagined ideas, inspired by various things I've seen around the WAYWO threads and other things. Prone, interactivity (like picking up weapons or opening doors with respective animations), a weapon set that uses bonemerged player model custom animations and animated model entities for the weapons themselves to get around w_model limitations while simultaneously showing the player model from the neck down in first person (instead of just legs), climbing or sliding about, and etc.
Almost makes me want to get off my lazy ass and try to learn lua, animations or so forth. :v:

As an addon that would be cool, but actually I want to have them as entities for map creation. Not just for making messy spacial dimensions, and things bigger on the inside than on the outside, but also because you could create the illusion of a map larger than the largest of maps, that would be friggin' sweet.
The ability to mount content from any game, not just source. With a better mounting system that includes Weapons, Vehicles, Npc's etc.
what I would like for DarkRP is that we add a Judge and all that and when somebody gets arrested they go directly to the court and then the judge asks a few questions and if they plead quilty they go to jail or if the judge thinks he is telling a lie he can sentence them.
Here's another one I thought up of, a sophisticated cooking system despite only choosing what ingredients or preset recipes to use and how you will prep and cook them (Like a more elaborate Sims 3 style cooking system).
You can assemble and cook all kinds of unique foods from parfaits to lobster, with a large range of ingredients to build with (also preset recipes for convinience).
Many foods have different cooking methods (with their appropriate pros and cons) to choose from.
(Ex, deep frying chicken cooks it really quickly at the cost of nutritional value)
Each food has unique models and/or skins for when you use various ingredients or cooking methods.
My dream addon is one where I must make a car from the very bottom, starting with the frame building everything up, including engine assembly, transmission, suspension, steering, pedals, electrical, all that stuff.
auto create shops it would be for dark rp so you just enter a title and check off a box of what it will be like you can check gun shop and other things but you will still need to add the blue prints and aim it to a place that you own :smile: and it would make it a ton lot easy for gun dealers to make a shop

Well now that Gmod 13 can mount Insurgency, why not some Insurgency SWEPS? With render target scope fanciness and prone and stuff.

I'd be fine with the weather affecting traction, but I don't think it should make wire stuff get wet or freeze joints up. That's a bit tedious, especially given that this is a sandbox game not a survival sim.

A gamemode with Voxel-based maps, and also an ability to dig. Of course with crafting, and an ability to create wire-powered auto-miners like in SpaceAge.

That's a pretty cool idea, I know minecraft had a bukkit plugin that could do something very similar.

That can be easily added to DarkRP. You don't even need any coding knowledge to do it.

I think people have tried that, to drastic results.
It wasn't done properly then.
On that note, I'd LOVE to have the source engine support larger maps.
The olde Quake 3 engine did, why they downgraded is beyond me...
