What a dumb comment. It manually unmounts TF2 content.
YOU manualy unmount TF2 content, also this disables tf2 content, so i would rather wait for garry.
I can not find the cfg folder it is not there. I deleted the garrsmod/garrys mod folder to clean my game to get a new start and cfg is not there. Yeah I know, idiot move there.
Hmm works for me...It did, I have TF2. Who runs gmod in a window?
Me, it doesn't matter.
To fix this error (where the games stops working with or without error message), do the following: Go to your C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\Username\garrysmod\garrysmod \cfg There you will find a file called Content.txt , open that file with notepad/wordpad. and remove all the text inside it, and replace it with this. "Content" { "240" { "mount""1" } "420" { "mount""1" } "380" { "mount""1" } "300" { "mount""1" } "340" { "mount""1" } "360" { "mount""1" } "400" { "mount""1" } } Then save your file, close it, and simply start up your garry mod. End of story for today, when valve releases a fix for it, simply go to your garry mod. in the menu you get at the beginning , when you first start up your garry mod. you will find something called: Gmod settings. and there you can enable all your games back on. *for now, if you enable Team fortress 2 also, your garry mod will no longer work* Creds go to Killabeat Copy pasta'd from another thread. This worked last time.
Thanks.
I can play my gmod fine :D
Mine is broken too I guess, gonna wait for it to be officially fixed.
did they just fix it? my tf2 updated in front of my eyes.
gmod is working :c00l: or for me it is at least WITH tf2 content
It's working.
Hmm works for me...It did, I have TF2. Who runs gmod in a window?
I have a Widescreen monitor so I run pretty much anything I play windowed these days.
I have a Widescreen monitor so I run pretty much anything I play windowed these days.
I do too, I just run it 16:10 fullscreen, but only 1280x800.
I do too, I just run it 16:10 fullscreen, but only 1280x800.
16:10 1440x900
Why not just put that fullscreen? It's not that shitty looking. I can run 1280x800 on a monitor that's actually 2560x1600. I couldn't run it full resolution because that would lag...
I run it at that because it fills up most of the screen, but it's windowed so I can pause my game or whatever and browse the internet and chat with people rather than alt-tabbing repeatedly.
i am not having these problems you sure its cause of gmod or tf2 cause i have both and there fine
My gmod and all my games work fine, Wait, as a post at page 1 said. TF2 has an intromovie!?!
He probably meant the valve thing.
I run it at that because it fills up most of the screen, but it's windowed so I can pause my game or whatever and browse the internet and chat with people rather than alt-tabbing repeatedly.
One any Steam game that is on the Orange Box, you can have it windowed, but it looks full screen. Right click on, say TF2, and choose the properties option. Then go into the Launch Option menu and type in "-windowed -noborder".
I came out of gmod, tf2 updated, launched gmod, and it crashed :(. Messed around for a while to try and fix it, no good :(... Two hours later when i tried it again, it worked!!??? I guess they fixed it.
My tf2 is still updating(dont ask why),should I just completly stop the update? EDIT:My gmod has been working for a long time, hasnt fucked up yet.

It still works.
all my games work :D
Same with me but i got it to work Sollution: Re-install Gmod (sorry if it wasn't suggested already but i didn't read it (got too lazy)) :)
The update broke something all of the sudden when I try to create a multiplayer game(local or not) , it just quits out to the main menu.
So it's still not fixed? I have alot of people playing Garry's mod in my friends list, they all own team fortress 2 as far as I know, so I'm going to try but my bet is Fixed.
It's fixed.
Verified working for me with Team Fortress 2 content.
lol i havent updated TF2 in months, it kinda lost it's luster after a while for me. 1280X1024 is what i run for resolution, full screen, i just use Steam's browser if i want to look something up or talk to friends. my monitor is one of those LG Flatron 4:3 in wide monitors, so 16:10 looks distorted for me.
