Ok I tried looking for any of these, however I don't see them. I looked exactly where I should but I don't see it. So what now?

Then what am I supposed to do, let it collect dust for being a waste of my money?
When I start my game it goes thru the usual initialization and then once that screen is done my screen turns black and the only visible thing is my mouse. Once it gets to that point nothing else happens. So whats going on? Did I get a bad copy of Garry's Mod from steam or am I missing some startup files?
What ever the problem is, this will not fix it.

Can you direct me to where then? I have been redirected quiet a few times and I'm hoping that I will be able to find a solution.
I tried that fix and it didn't solve anything, then I totally reinstalled Garry's Mod, and now there's no cfg folder, and it still won't load. We need a new fix for this, it's obviously not TF2.
FYI this isn't relevant anymore.
