It would be nice to get a Capture the Prop (like CTF) game mode that would work with this, since the current CTF game mode isn't really what I had in mind. I'd just like to defend the flag with a SMG and raid the enemy using the gravity gun to pick up the flag and capture it.
Looks like I need to build up my own lua wisdom and make one myself.

Yes
You might wonder why i have removed most of the shit off of page 1.
All the gamemodes removed are what i consider solid. They are basically in a state where they don't require any updates and because of that, i have bundled them into the 1st Generation package.
The gamemodes still on page 1 are works in progress. They will be bundled together into the 2nd Generation when enough gamemodes are coded and ready.

I don't want to include it because a lot of people don't like it. Same with laserdance.
To be honest i don't enjoy them much either. They serve mainly as examples.

Do I need to play it with more players?

You need 2 players in order to spawn a prop. This was added to keep idiots from spamming while nobody was on the server.
You can spawn a bot if you want to play it "singleplayer"

Of course, you need to be on a server to use bots. You can't start a singleplayer game and spawn bots.
