With Benji and FRIENDS
What? No, I just like starting shit, the legal way.
Domain is parked. Did I skim the part where he purposely did this, or did he just forget to pay the domain bill?
Domain is parked. Did I skim the part where he purposely did this, or did he just forget to pay the domain bill?
It's purposeful.
Sorting out any vunerabilities?
Wat. Matt just blocked me on steam. :o
Gee I wonder why.
Gee I wonder why.
I wanted to see what he would do if I typed "Hacked by SickShot" :(
Nice one. Hey guys, my friends grandmother just died and I said to him "your grandmother died" and he blocked me. lolwtf?
Poor grandma...
Wait, he doesn't need to dish out the money for a hosting account. Trust me on this, I have a friend who can host him for free, he's told me he's more than glad to, and has all of the recourses required. The only thing he'd need to pay money for is the domain name. Contact me over MSN or Steam Friends if you'd like. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

Just dropped in to say Sorry for what happened
I had an idea...but not sure if he'd use it. Use this guys free hosting he's offering him (http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=16466923#post16466923) and store all of his actual website files on it, including the domain, all linked to this. Then, when a file is uploaded, it sends the data to a small upload file on HIS hosting account (because he has unlimited space/bandwith) then, it stores it on there. When the user clicks a download link (button, they cant see the url) it will download the file from the file bin. (like: http://52.68.215.32/gmodaddon.zip). This way, if he lost his other hosting account (the free one), he could just throw the stuff on his. But this is mostly to prevent the massive attacks that remove ALL of the addons that people/we have uploaded.
Protip: there's no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. If you use too much your account will get terminated.
Depends on the host. A few shared hosting providers I know are very good with their AUPs. DreamHost, HostGator and Servage.net come to mind.
The man above my post in the person who is going to be providing the hosting if Andersonmat asks for it, I'm sure you could use it to host the main site, or just use it to help with bandwidth stress.
server is down ? not working here...
Depends on the host. A few shared hosting providers I know are very good with their AUPs. DreamHost, HostGator and Servage.net come to mind.
If you take a good look at the terms of service I'm pretty sure you find something like "if you do stuff that affects other users hosting (like using lots of bandwidth) your account will be terminated" [editline]07:37PM[/editline]
# Unlimited Hosting Space. BlueHost.Com does not set arbitrary limits on the amount of disk space a Subscriber can use for the Subscriber's website, nor does BlueHost.Com charge additional fees based on an increased amount of storage used, provided the Subscriber's use of storage complies with these Terms. Please note, however, that the BlueHost.Com service is designed to host websites. BlueHost.Com does NOT provide unlimited space for online storage, backups, or archiving of electronic files, documents, log files, etc., and any such prohibited use of the Services will result in the termination of Subscriber's account, with or without notice.
I suggest getting Amazon S3 and Cloudfront. Won't be too expensive. Hopefully.
S3? The linx we don't kno how big this will be. committing to things like that is way over the top and not needed.
S3? The linx we don't kno how big this will be. committing to things like that is way over the top and not needed.
What?
server is down ? not working here...
Read the topic....
If you take a good look at the terms of service I'm pretty sure you find something like "if you do stuff that affects other users hosting (like using lots of bandwidth) your account will be terminated"
Well, technically that is hosting a site...?
Well, technically that is hosting a site...?
No. Hosting a site is the actual files needed to run a site, those are considered "Online Storage"...you should probably use a REAL host then.
No. Hosting a site is the actual files needed to run a site, those are considered "Online Storage"...you should probably use a REAL host then.
I stand corrected. Looks like I'll be finding a new host.
I stand corrected. Looks like I'll be finding a new host.
:D I do hope you get this site back up, or make a FPSBanana alternative. :)
