Are you in the development team or related in any way? (compwhizii)
How about making the background of the site a bit more white? IMO it would look much better
No that would be pretty ugly. I don't want my retinas burned out.
Are you in the development team or related in any way? (compwhizii)
No but having you host on some free VPS with a dot tk domain would bring quality down a lot.
Thats not what I mean ;) I pay for it, but you would NOT have to pay me to host it :\
I think he's trying to say he thinks you don't really know what you're doing with it.
I think I do :|
I think I do :|
Well you said you could provide him with unlimited bandwidth. Either you have a bandwidth limit or you haven't read your Terms of Service.
Here's a link to the unlimited policy which my host has which should explain more about what "unlimited" really means: http://www.dreamhost.com/unlimited.html
Fortunately I purchased my hosting before they brought out that policy and hence I have good old fashioned limits with no unlimited policy.
I have no bandwidth limit, it is in my user control panel of the VPS.

I will obtain a screenshot.

But the point was - What is mentioned in your host's Terms of Service. Most hosts (If not all) will not allow you to do file hosting if you have an "unlimited" service. The "unlimited" simply means that you will not reach any limits for your content.
Again, the point that I'm trying to make is that your host will not allow you to use that "unlimited" bandwidth to host other people's sites and files.
Depending on the volume of traffic required by this, the use of services such as Amazon Cloud and Google App Engine may be the best option in order to cope with the traffic while keeping good performance.
So, they should place a limit there, otherwise it is considered lying.
Read this: http://www.findmyhosting.com/truthunlimited.htm it explains why unlimited is not truly unlimited.
What company are you with out of curiosity I very much want to read their TOS.
No they aren't lying if its in their Terms of Service. Its common practice due to how competitive web hosting is.
ww.vpsland.com I'll read it too.
Filefront.
'Nuff said.
Browsed the whole think, now TOS about Unlimited
I couldn't find anything which specifically mentioned limitations, however I did notice this:
3.2.10. Any action which the Company deems to be an unacceptable use of resources, business practice or otherwise unacceptable to the Company.
This hints that if they cannot handle the resource requirements, they will just stop you.
However, you would be best to ask them what specific limitations there are on what you can host and the resources that you can use. If they haven't got any specific limits then go nuts.
Then again - I couldn't actually find any unlimited disk space / bandwidth plans on that website.
I couldn't find an unlimited package on that site either.
So didn't I but as you can see the JPG..
You disgust me, JPG.
Ok, the image, are you happy or you need a GIF :p?
Well yes I saw it the first time. I just find it strange that the site has no unlimited offer available, which would explain why their TOS doesn't cover anything about what they think "unlimited" means.
Perhaps you're on a package that is no longer available for new customers to purchase? Like yngndrw said contact your provider about what they think before offering to host all this content. As they have the right to cancel your account with no refund if they deem what you do to be unacceptable.
(Use .png if you save in ms paint as with jpegs it compresses the image a lot. :c )
That'd make me really happy.
No, use png.
(Applies renaming magic to the file)Done. (not really)Are you happy now? I will forward my answer: Good.
Ok, holy shit guys, a little excessive with the comments.
I wouldn't reply to the actual screenshots I gave you because a lot got changed.
Did I mention a lot... :P
Anyways, I'm not having trouble with the host, I'm just working on it a little more to polish it up and make it even better. I'll release a few more screenshots in a little while. :)
Also, thank you for the link colors. I love them. :)
Adding them now. :)
Anyways, here are a few revised development screenshots.
I would greatly appreciate comments and criticism before I release. :)

Also, I forgot to mention...
For people asking if they could host this for me. My answer stays no. I enjoy the control of it, since it's my site and I've put my time into it. I appreciate your appetite to help the site along, but, It's already come at a cost to me and I'll keep paying that.
As for people concerned about the hosting... I've found a host that will host this on a dedicated server. Trust me, the price isn't pretty. You don't have to comment on me not knowing what I'm talking about.
I'm well based in technology and I know how to read the ToS pages. That's why it's taken so long to find a good reputable hoster that allows you to host a file sharing site.
As a test, I'm going to go to the end of the September on the current hoster-- epicbox -- to see what happens. If the site epicly rapes the box, I'll pack it up and move to a dedicated server.
Can you upload multiple files at once?
Can you upload multiple files at once?
No, you cannot, each addon / file would need to be uploaded separately.
Although, give me a few days and I'll have multiple images there. :)
Also, I plan on having the site up within the hour! :D
3 hours later:
Is it up? :D

Don't need to bother yourself answering, good job :)
