For me there aint any problem in DarkRP its the players who plays it i would guess all of thoose guys who are typing in this section would make a DarkRP server and make it run 100% nice and clean without any RDM and Spammers and such
The whole flaw with Dark RP is that it has limited gameplay oppertunities. The whole thing about automatic paychecks / money prints sucks.
In most Dark RP servers, it encourages you to invest $20,000 on buying money printers, staying there for an hour, and collecting money.
You just wasted an hour collected server money and for what? More guns?
Then, there is a server population that will descend on your money printer room and waste all your time and effort.
Finally, its the easy access to guns that destroys what RP is in Dark RP. You either get bored and start mass murders, or you just like to minge and start going on mass RDM sprees.
It makes Dark RP very fustrating to play and not fun unless your runining some-one elses.
There is generally nothing wrong with the gamemode itself besides so aesthetics.
The main problems are.
1. The users who play it.
2. The admins some people pick.
3. It's an overused gamemode.

I also wish that automatic paychecks worked differently (or were gone), but I can't think of any way it could work differently without constantly having admins on to fuel the economy.

I cannot even begin to explain what is wrong with most DarkRP servers, besides oceans of minge, RDMers, a bad economy system, a corrupt voting system, not a wide variety of good, serious servers, plus corrupt admins etc. etc. BOTTOM LINE: if you want to have a horrible experience playing garrysmod multiplayer, join one of these.

Exactly. This and the fact that people who use DarkRP generally don't know how to run a server.
That 12 year old who's friends with the admin and you say anything insulting to him yet you have to live with a voice higher than a mouse for the whole session you're on there.
The problem i see with most servers that run darkrp, is the jobs. Jobs like "Hitman" and "security guard" are retared. if some one wants to do those, thats what /job is for damn it. get a gun and do the fucking job

About jobs. There is such a realiystic job called janitor. You walk around and clean shit. You clean shit all the day. You clean shit 5 days of 7. You clean shit almost all the time. I bet it would be nice to RP a janitor.

I saw a janitor on a roleplay server once, however he was the shotgun shooting, ballista making, and overall just making everything more messy than otherwise.

Exactly. I mean, one time I was on a TTT sever with four of my friends, and while we were waiting for more people, we decided to pass the time RPing. Yes, that's right, roleplaying in TTT. If you have the desire to RP you can do it anywhere.
Hell, if you really wanted to, you could RP in fucking Halo. There's no inherent reason that people can't roleplay in DarkRP, most people just don't seem to have the desire to.
1. To many horribly abusive admins.
2. To many horrid players.
3. Useless classes. Have factions instead that are player controled.
4. No inventory.
5. To much demoting for bad reasons.
6. To many differnent types of chat.
7. Cops suck and it is to hard to me one.
8. Random death matching rule. In real life you could randomly kill, but you would not magickly be banned from life.
