What do you hate in RP? - Garry's Mod

I hate Dark RP its like fast food it draws you back every time. *sigh* Times like this make me wish i knew of G-mod back in well lets say before i knew of Steam.

Plus it's so everyone doesn't have some highly trained ex-military character, thats just plain retarded. I find it perfectly easy to make a great character that fits in canon perfectly.

We should totally make a song like that XD

1. Abusive staff that are only staff because they're the owners friends. 2. People who whine because you bought the best spot on the map and they want it. 3. People who get civil protection and start busting down the door to everyones house for no reason except a random search, allowing people you didn't want in to come in. 4. People getting voted as civil pro and abusing there jailing ability on everyone they "don't like" and nobody votes to demote them. 5. People who block spawn in order to trap a minger but THEN BLOCK EVERYONE ELSE IN AND GO AFK. 6. people who block you from your own home and no civil pro are on. 7. when lag spikes hit and all your weapons get deleted. 8. when you join the server because their is like 3 people and it wont be laggy or complicated and then about 50 people join and lag you after you just finished working on your house. 9. Crashing in mid-game 10. Gun Dealers who won't sell any weapons or make any, just being gun dealers to take up the spot.

Mingebags who can use proper grammar and actually try to look innocent. Admins on servers that often utilize NPCs, who don't understand what "Dan Mega NPC pack fast zombie spam" means, even if in good heart.

Hobos that spam bugbait. It lags the server.

Shitty servers flooded with files the mods hardly use. I've once connected to this extraordinarily buggy and laggy one that had several types of enemies, but only headcrab zombies respawned, at the same spot. Doors and stores didn't work, either. -_-

I don't hate RP, but I do hate propblockers.

One thing that annoys me is when idiots use the gravgun and pull stuff up walls, I had a small gun stall once, a simple table with a few boxes behind it, and behind those boxes, a shipment of guns. A retarded kid, propclimbs up the wall at the side (it was in one of the cubicals in the Evocity flea market) and then magically picks up the guns from up there without doing any form of RP I freaking hate having to make any form of gun selling into what looks like a giant metal box full of guns.

Dark RP in general. Sorry for the rule breaking. Not the gamemode, But the player base destroys its reputation. Too many kids 'Arr pee is fun and i is can buy weapon, dress up liek a hoerse and shoot them with a weal gun!' I don't know what that said.

When the scripter refuses to fix the server, bans when met with any neutral comment, thinks they're god for changing a few names and adding some addons, and doesn't listen to everyone else. AKA, 9 out of 10 servers.

People who dont roleplay, for example one time i was playing as gun dealer, some random guy walks in and starts screaming "WAAAAAAZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" then i continually told him to get out or stop screaming, then i killed him he started demoting me and screaming wit his 10 year old voice "STUPID RDMER!!!!!!!!1111111oneoneone" or people who just RDM for no reason, most of the times just killing me with a sniper when they are a shop guard as i am selling or as most times it happens people who kill other people to get first in line. Then we have spawn blockers and prop killers. And their is always the annoying bad cop.

And their is always the annoying bad cop.[/QUOTE] Your lucky they arent admin!!! 2 days ago i went on my favourite server which was sadly shutting down soon (roughly a month) when 3 players (two of them admins and the other is a normal player) joined and they started admin abusing REALLY BADLY, first they killed everyone and blocked us into the spawn point and they kept noclipping in to kill us, then they turnt into cps and they arrested us all the time, many people left but i stayed on since it would take ages to get onto another online server and download everything for it and sometimes my computer crashes when i change servers If you want to avoid them then look out for these people: hoky (admin) Hellfire NOR (admin) Lt ch33f these are the troublemakers that ruined the rp server >:( bloody 10 yr old twats (they even sounded like 10 yr olds!)

"JailRP" is a terribly made mutant of Jailbreak, a gamemode for CS: S, which can be played without mods, Jailbreak on CS is usually fairly good as there are few kids on the server I used to admin and regular (shut down). "JailRP" is just some shoddy attempt at making Jailbreak look unique to GMod as is riddled with even more kids than most RP servers as it is in the rules to follow the command of the Guards (which kids like to be as they can look kewl and h4rdc0re). I think they should make a script where you can create custom jobs (not just names, but SWEPs and characteristics that they spawn with, much like COD4). And for anti-minging, record how many hours you've played on a server, and it gives you access to more jobs as you play longer (providing you aren't banned first). And, as with COD4, the more you play, the more perks/SWEPs you unlock.

Just my two cents, though. Also, bad drivers on RP servers that regularly allow vehicles. I've seen good RPers and such absolutely fuck up a server by pure accident because of the Source engine's terrible vehicle controls. Then there's just the players who speed around anyway, smashing cars out of the way and running pedestrians over for imaginary bonus points.

I saw you posted in the profile and it is shutting down. Also im a moderator there and i know these people, what i typed was in my first days of the server when i wasnt mod. We also cannot use superadmin commands, like for giving money, promoting/demoting people and such. Second, Friday said he cant work and do this at the same time, but he also said some time in the not-so-near future the server will be up again. Meanwhile i made my own server, its pretty much the same in terms of settings, jobs and such, but with a few extra addons and classes. Add Definition | G0Dl1K3 to your friends if your interested.
