I've just downloaded that and it looks pretty good. I have not been able to test it yet but i'll let you know how well it works when i do test it.
Thanks djshox.
sorry to post in this very old thread, but will it work if i am the one thats receiving from another router in this house? or do i need to buy my own modem
When I try and put in the default gateway it doesn't work. What do I do?
I have tried to make a LAN game over the Hamachi, My friend can see the game but he gets an error about class 'C' addresses or some thing like that and can't connect. Any ideas?
I've used all the default usernames and passwords named here, and nothing works, no one at my house can remember setting up a password. Help please?
Have/Can you reset the router?
My Listen server still doesn't work. I can see it myself in the game list but my friend can't see or join it. I've done all the ports i could find on steam and portforward.com.. Any suggestions
Ok I typed in the thing next to the Defult Gateway thing on an Internet Explorer window and it took me to a search website. What link is it?
Ok I went to this Linkseye website and went to Port Range Forwarding, I typed in the stuff and it sent me to something that said 400 BAD
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I need to know if port forwarding and stuff still works with creating a listen server. A month ago my friends could join in my listen server with no problem but up until recently it seems to not work. When I load up counter strike source it won't show up for my friends anymore. Has there been a major update or anything that changed the way a listen server works? I have all my ports forward and a static IP address but it's not showing up at all for my friends.
Can someone please help I been searching for hours for something that can help and I have found nothing about this.
Hi how are u.
Edit:
wow this is so cool.
Ok I did exactly this and saved my settings to my router. heres the thing. i go to start a server and it doesn't show up on the enternet list. but if i enter the ip in my favorites then it shows up in my favorites list. sv_lan is 0 and i hit heardbeat. it still isn't working. Please help!
Same here! I just can't get it to come up! It still says it's only LAN.
When I go through all my stuff (I have a linksys), I can't hit enable because a message comes up when I try to saying "You cannot use the router IP, network, or broadcast address".
What do I do?
I had a linksys router, but now I have a Verizon one and I can't figure out the password either. I used to be able to make a server by just pressing the create server button but all that stopped randomly when I had the linksys one and it never was that way again. Plus, when I type something in the password box, it types like fifty letters I tried to type password and I got this:pppaasssssswwooorrrddd. I don't hold the letters, that has never happened before, and I don't know if it is that it is just 22 dots.
I got a speedtouch router,I can't remember the password nor the username, can anyone tell me what to do?
I just forwarded my ports. I dunno if it'll work or not because I can't get on gmod right now
also, why does it say I don't have permission to download Ulysses Mod?
I know this may be a useless bump, but I'm stucked at the IP part - I got it, but strangely enough, when I put it in the internet bar, it just doesn't work. It says It's unable to find it. I have a Linksys Broadband Router.
I am not behind a router and my firewall is off why can't people join my server? I think it could be the modem but I don't know if that is the cause. It is about a 6 year old quest modem.
If you have a really shitty connection, that could also be the cause.
im having problems finding anything related to port forwarding or virtual servers. where on IE would i look for this?
Have any of you guys looked into getting the program Hamachi?
yeah i dowloaded it a while ago and it worked for the standalone version of gmod (sucks) but i still cant figure out how to make a server sucessfully.
Have any of you guys looked into getting the program Hamachi?
thats pointless it only shares fileswith ONE other computer and its not used for games,
just incase you want to try heres the website http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/ oh and this is getting quite complicated!!:derp:
ANother thing try this it costs money but its well worth it it configs all your ports automaticlly in 5 mins https://secure.portforward.com/store/pfconfig.cgi
This is what i did, is this correct? most of my friends are offline right now and i'm sure if it works.
