Well with wine my server feels like it preforms faster ping wise i'm not sure because i never let the windows server go public, i was just too awful. However in windows the server felt a lot more laggy, this is just my experience. This is hosted on an old p4 with 1 gig ram, this is pretty much just for me and my friends and sometimes just for my self to be able to do more processing with less lag.

My worst experiences almost always seem to happen on rp servers were for 5 bucks you can spawn insta-kill guns and perma ban anyone who says something to you.My friends actually just looked at an admin and was banned.

To me, the most annoying thing is probably the lag when some little kid comes on a MP server and spawns about a 1000 props. My computer is horrible and sometimes it will drop to around 1 frame every 5 seconds. It's sad.
