How did you even...nevermind. Anyways, did the history graphs reset for the Minecraft servers or something? I used to be able to see the player count from the past 30 days, but for some reason, it seems to have wiped the history off the face of the earth. A week ago, I saw a bunches of jaggedy lines. We aren't doing so hot now, due to finals coming up, but I'm playing on it every chance I get.
They were all reset so I could get a good read on which servers are active on the 14th.
Once the player count of erie1555's server increased, the amount of idiots on there has dramatically increased. I advise you to not be a Resistance or Nazi until erie1555 sorts out some way to have an admin almost always online to deal with the random demotes, because it's pretty out of hand right now.
Just a quick question, is the reason why people need 500+ posts to prevent people getting a bunch of free servers using alts?
Just a quick question, is the reason why people need 500+ posts to prevent people getting a bunch of free servers using alts?
that and people with 500 posts have usually contributed to the community
Just a quick question, is the reason why people need 500+ posts to prevent people getting a bunch of free servers using alts?
What do you think it should be at?

For one we can now blacklist users from using the demote system.
What do you think it should be at?
I'm not one to speak, but to be honest, I think 500 is fine even though I don't meet that requirement (iirc I had 257 posts when you gave me mine). Oddly enough, I became a lot more active since then, so for any Facepunch regular, 500 shouldn't be a problem. I'm probably going to reach it in a few months anyway, and I am relatively new compared to some.

[editline]8th December 2012[/editline] I mean it's to give back to the community. I'm not giving out free servers to the public - just people who have contributed to Facepunch in some manner over the years. Lowering the post count requirement wouldn't really make sense.
I'll be getting one soon hopefully! :)
You're pretty great for doing this.
What do you think it should be at?
I'm not saying you should change it, it's a smart rule. I just want one :'I
What does the red mean? I'm having some server troubles (unrelated to the hosting), but this showed up. Is there any reason for it? [editline]13th December 2012[/editline] Minecraft.

Do you still host Minecraft servers and is it a possible offer?
Do you still host Minecraft servers and is it a possible offer?
Paid yes.
If i do what you tell me to, ie. Request from the website and such and all that. Will you grant me a server?
If i do what you tell me to, ie. Request from the website and such and all that. Will you grant me a server?
Weren't you already told to go away?
For a week my copy of a gamemode was unplayable, but Tyler and I worked things out and he let me keep hold of my server until it was fixed about a week later. He's pretty understanding and reasonable - if you can be human and talk to him about things like that he's pretty cool about it. He just wants to make sure you're using it in the end. With that said I'm actually not going to be running my server anymore, but it's because I've realized I'm not really up the hassle, personally. I just kind of wanted to see how it played out and took up Darksoul on his offer. If I ever want to run a server with serious intentions I would enjoy going to Tyler simply out of principle and enjoyment of his service - he's extremely nice to even his non-customers. There's no real reason I would go elsewhere.

Seems nice of you to do this, Good luck with your business
I can't seem to make an account on your website, the image verifcation field shows nothing near it. (FYI this is in Firefox)

Very kind of you darksoul to host servers for free, and with high quality aswell. Nice too see people actually do this kind of stuff. And just out of curiosity, how many servers are you currently hosting? Sorry if this is already answered somewhere, i haven't got the time to go through this thread or your website yet.

On a guess, probably between 100-150 active right now.
All on one box ? Or do you just rent / colo a bunch of boxes ?
Who would put 100-150 in one box. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] The free servers have multiple boxes.
