Those are both licensed games which he cannot legally add unless he can confirm you own the actual games on your steam account.
So are those 2 different than Counterstrike, Team Fortress 2, episode 1, day of defeat, Left for Dead, and Left for Dead 2? Cause those are already on the mod list. Just cause they are on the server doesn't mean you can spawn them, you have to own them and have them installed locally as well.

Yes because all of that content is publicly available whereas portal and episode 2 are not.
If you know what your doing, you can get most of the content via hldsupdatetool (except Portal, EP2) and use it in GMod (to a certain extent), but there is no reason not to obtain the content from Steam.

I just want to say, the whole Elpis system is incredibly nice.
It's easy to manage the server, the server is fast, and most importantly the help is amazing.
Just now I suggested that the BZ2 MAPS function only targets bsp files, it was implemented within minutes!
I can't wait until you launch in Europe. I'll definetly get my hands on one of these free servers when I reach 500 posts :D
