MOST stupid reason you got banned from a GMod server? - Garry's Mod

Running around in a Dark RP server with my Canadian Accent screaming, "Urgh my nipples, they hurt when I twist them! Eh?"

The admin which banned me though[Killjoy], wasn't even relevant to the case and he only jumped on to ban me so that other admins couldn't question it. In my unban appeal I corrected him on numerous things[such as the PM = IC], and he insta-closed the unban. No reason, no detailed arguement... He just tried to play the fall argument of, "You cant do that" with no relevant case to back him up.

Democracy is for managing large countries like America; it is totally unnecessary in something as small and insignificant as a gaming community. On top of that, in a place like America you apply to get citizenship which grants you the right to vote; on an online community it's usually just someone is interested in a community; they give their email and username, and instant membership. On top of that, if someone gets kicked out of a community they can just rejoin under an alt. Knowing all of this you can see why democracy in online communities is limited to the upper ranks of trusted, long-standing members.

Joining some surf server and after trying I asked him how to get past the part I was on he proceeded to permaban me with the description of look it up.

Started playing Gmod again after years. Join DarkRP to see what the hype's all about. Be banned for propkilling admins that keep physgun ragdolling me for no apparent reason0. Those so called "Roleplaying" servers are horrid. I'm going across all the DarkRP servers just to try to get perma-banned so I can blacklist 'em. Servers are boring as hell, I had a money printer, the moment I spawned it in my house with a locked door, a crowd of about 6 people appeared in front of my window trying to arrest me. :v:

Two years ago I was banned from ByB for spawning slides. The videos called 'Dark RP: The Buyable' give me several reasons to not think about posting an unban request :v:

Back in 2007 I used to join Friendly Players. Their server used to be on rp_hometown_2000. The admins hated me because I always built bridges. I'd spawn fences, freeze them on 45 degrees, and make bridges and pathways from the ground to about every building. I made whole networks of bridges. The admins kept kicking and banning me for short amounts of time. Sometimes they would just delete my props behind my back and tell me to stop. This is when I started experimenting with prop surfing. Then this guy called "Jiggu" made a server. Jiggu was a really nice guy. In his server, I discovered that if you hold a sawblade close to you, and looked down, you would walk backwards really fast. I did that for a while until Crash and I realised I could try to make a script for it. What if I made a script, that rotates exactly 180 degrees while I'm holding a prop. Will the prop move alongside me, or will it push me like it does when I just look down? As a big surprise, it actually pushed me forwards. Some messing about later, I figured I could let the script make me look up as well as rotating 180 degrees. This is how the prop boost was born. In the meanwhile I messed about with throwing props. I figured that you can't kill someone when you keep holding the prop, you have to throw it. Jiggu let me prop kill on his server, because he thought it was hilarious. After a while crash and I figured out prop defending (freezing your prop when someone throws a prop), and spawning props through walls. Crash and I both got better and better at prop killing. The only catch though, was that one of the admins, Tommy Chrome Bolt, was one of the official updaters of DarkRP. He kept banning me for prop killing. Permabanning even. Jiggu would always unban me though. At this time I would just join the server and prop kill [b]everyone[/b] en masse. The ticker on the top right was spammed with prop kills. Tommy kept banning me, so I made a script for Jiggu that prevents me from getting banned. This script was accidentally released once with my scripts pack. I got huge complaints about exploiting the facepunch userbase because of it. Of course, no one believed the script was just for Jiggu's server. Anyway, since Tommy couldn't ban me anymore, he started getting nasty. He made an update for DarkRP in which he blocked my most used prop kill models: the locker and the sawblade. Jiggu ignorantly updated his server, and so did many other people. Prop killing got a lot harder, because I was too stubborn to rebind my keys. This pissed me off so badly that I started making a DarkRP update in secret. In this update I removed the sawblade and locker from the blocked props list. But in order to get people to use my update, I had to put in some "epic" changes. There were many bugs in DarkRP, one being an exploit where you could steal money from players using gun spawners. I fixed those exploits and added a first F4 menu, where you could switch jobs. Here's the release video for the DarkRP I made in secret, it's DarkRP 2.3.1: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg0XxgwuKeA[/media] I released this update and of course, Tommy Chrome Bolt (unib5) and PhilXYZ were mad as hell. They said I had no right to make an update for DarkRP, but the people ignored it. Everyone wanted the menu and the fixes that PhilXYZ and Tommy were reluctant to make. My version gained popularity at the cost of the "official" version. I was motivated to make more updates. PhilXYZ and Tommy made a couple more official updates, where they would incorporate some of the fixes I had in my version, but left out things like the F4 menu. Barely anyone used those versions. I set up an SVN repository for DarkRP, tommy and philXYZ gave up on DarkRP and told me to continue with it. So that's how I became the updater of DarkRP.

The moral being, if you want to become the best at GMod, hijack people's projects and hit people with sawblades a lot. Oh, and be good at Lua, that too.

They're full of admin abuse to the point where even beating an Admin can get you banned and it's all thanks to thinking like this. I was playing on a BF3 server once where I was in a jeep and accidentally ran the admin over. He asked me why I did it and I said "Sorry, it was an accident" He then killed me using commands and I asked him "Do you know what the term "accident" means?" with no response. I was then permanently banned from the server for "Being Disrespectful towards the Admin" Seriously, people who think like that need to shut the fuck up and realise that they are ruining gaming in general. There was also another time in L4D2 where everyone else was dicking around in the safehouse while I was actually waiting for them at the elevator, telling them to hurry up when the admin asked me "How did you get there so fast?" I replied with "Because I actually left the safehouse and didn't dick around the whole time" and got banned for Hacks. He then proceeded to ban every one of my friends who were also in the server just because they had the same clantag as me. If you really think that shit like that is even remotely okay then go fuck yourself.

There are many communities out there that rather than rely on donations feed off of donations and rather than administrative titles being a position of responsibility become an opportunity to circle-jerk each other off. Take for instance the other day on PEZ servers. I was playing and had the highest score in the server after 5 rounds and mostly killing off the majority of the server each round. The next round I'm innocent and a detective deliberately (using the crowbar) pushes me off a ledge taking away 56 health. I shoot him in the head and get told that it's RDM. "omg you RDM'd the detective" "what do you call a loss of 56 health from being pushed off a ledge by a detective?" "RDM" "Oh ok, but its ok for the detective to RDM me but not for me to RDM him?" "No, as innocent you CANNOT SHOOT THE DETECTIVE EVER" "ok fine, when I'm detective I'm going to go shoot all the innocents in their feet once and none of them are allowed to do anything" In the end I get banned. And guess what? The detective I shot, who never got punished was wearing the servers tags and was a donator. Hardly surprising. Only $19.99 for admen and u can be a supr c00l admen too. Make sure to turn a blind eye when your buddies break the rules too, and when people catch you out make sure to change the ban reason.
