MOST stupid reason you got banned from a GMod server?

I was a super admin on a small/medium build server once. I cannot recount how many irritating children I had to forcibly eject from the server.
The ones that annoyed me the most were the skybox spammers. I was doing my coursework one evening, when I was summoned into the server to deal with someone called Scott who was spamming canal bridges into the skybox of GM_Bigcity whilst screaming in a high pitched voice. I actually managed to connect and movement was hard, then I felt the satisfaction of pressing the big red permaban button.
It transpired that he had been going around setting people's stuff on fire (This was before we got prop protection) and squeaking abuse. The regulars began to torment him in retaliation and he thought it would be so clever to bring the server down.
Although being an admin was quite a tedious job, and was more babysitting and chatting to people than anything else, it was a nice feeling when I managed to punish rulebreakers and received gratitude in response from the other players.
I will admit that I have had 'oops' moments where I banned the wrong guy by accident. I always felt guilty for those.

A server owner will always dictate your behaviour by issueing a set of rules he believes should be followed. You are told and forced to behave in a manner the dictator(server owner) deems appropriate.
If you break the rules you are punished in a way the server decides. The server could have ANY rule it likes, this is because it is there server. They can punish you for following a rule, breaking a rule, eating a cake.
Even the greatest and fairest server of the land will still be a dictatorship, more towards a benevolent one though.
This isn't always fair, often it simply is not fair. But that doesn't change the facts.

Yes, it's a fact. Have you ever seen a customer owned server in any game that was not a dictatorship, there might be some random example to prove me wrong. Dictatorship doesn't mean everyone has to be oppressed, thrown into slave labour, starved, beaten, raped, violated, pillaged or given giant purple chicken suits. It simply means the way the rulers of a country/area/system is done. It's not a democracy. Granted most forums/servers are a form of a [B]Benevolent dictatorship[/B] but it's still a dictatorship.
Before you quote and flame this reply: I am not saying it is fair, I'm not saying it's right, I'm not even commenting on anything to do with this topic, actually I'm going slightly OT. But I can't see how you can argue that servers are not dictatorships.

There was two irritating players micspamming, so I banned them (not perma), after that, someone called me nazi admin. I just laughed at it, and then banned him (tbh, those bans were removed few weeks later when sourcebans was installed). Almost every admin on the server where I play is a small dictator, but they keep cheaters and irritating people away quite effectively. It's one of the main reasons why the server is popular.
I just hate servers without active admins, last time I played on some random public server (tf2), there was an aimbotter (damn obivious one too), and no admins to ban him. Even voteban required 90% players approval...
This wasn't GMod, but I got banned from a server for "Get a life you fucking n00b."

Especially andreblue, he's been using his priveledges to dupe my bases and things. Hasn't even been that sneaky with it either, duped my car elevator right beside me.

Except you aren't a benevolent dictator, you're just a dictator and a pretty poor one at that.
Pantho, there's a real reason you need to spend so much for 10gbps DDoS protection; it's not just because gmod servers get DDoS'd-- its because you and your buddies use your power to hush criticisms whilst others use their power to try and enhance the experience of players on their servers.
People like you and Deon have a repeat tendency to censor and oppress people because you cannot answer their criticisms because you think it makes the problem go away when all it does is make the questions get asked louder.
I mean my question at the moment is how I can possibly be banned when you actually have the audacity to close abuse tickets against yourself because you were drunk.
So he should punish himself because you made a ticket against him? I mean, No one else can actually punish him. Even if someone does, He can unban himself. Besides, Who doesn't get drunk on Gmod?

Me? Perfect? Oh god I wish. However, I don't believe I've ever censored my posts or tickets. And yes, im going to close my own abuse tickets. Nobody else can close the dictators tickets, otherwise it isn't a dictatorship ;)
Drinking is one of the vast enjoyments of life, im a fiend for booze I must confess. I don't have drinking problems, I go weeks without booze. But when I do I tend to spend a fair bit of money on decent spirits and get well and truly lubricated. But why shouldn't I have fun when I want to? As am I right now drinking a very nice triple sec. I'm not drunk, I'm not sober. I'm simply enjoying a decent liquor while playing with my friends.

But, the base questions are not edited. Often it's a simple question that's answer and locked. Although I do agree that the amount of threads that get locked annoy me. But...

I get banned from a forum because half of the people on it think I don't have a point. While the other half link to my videos on the video section and then call them laugh out loud funny.

I even offer free help to other server owners with blocking common DoS methods. I've probably spent ~$200 on copies of gmod, VPS servers, VPN servers etc whilst making the Buyable series over a 6 month period.
At any time I could have very, very easily purchased a large botnet and attacked your community and obliterated it (I'm not billy using moms credit card).. but I [B][U]don't do that kind of stuff[/U][/B] and I don't involve myself with people that do--i.e. some of your administrators.
I never use any kind of client side cheats or hacks while playing because it ruins the fun of the games for me. If I was to DDoS people's servers how would I even have the situations which I have in my videos? that makes no sense.

I was banned from some server (Reason: "Asshole") because I kept killing this one guy (who was respected) over and over again, even though EVERYONE ELSE was killing him and each other. Then when I came back to the server I was demoted to "Mingebag" rank. I guess admins just LOVE the "RESPECTED" rank people. -.-

I point out that you should really get anyone who is abusing the rules to consent to recording their actions first (because that is the standard you put on people) and I get banned.
I mean really, your admins should be knowledgeable about the rules on your servers such as gaining people's permissions before recording them.

EDIT: I'm speaking to some high up admins on ByB and I think I'm going to start a petition to get voice chat disabled as you cannot expect 12 year olds with moms credit card to know how to disable voice in a game or enter into a contract of any sort.
