MOST stupid reason you got banned from a GMod server? - Garry's Mod

I got banned for "minge" when I had a playermodel that the server didn't have, thus defaulting to kliner. I was on the server for literally two seconds.

Well it wasn't me who was banned, but I did witness it. Person: "Oh shut the fuck up" Admin: "Did you tell me to shut the fuck up?" Admin banned person permanently for reason: none specified

Meh, it just ruins the server's reputation. Seriously though, servers shouldn't have an "admin disrespect" rule. Admins are just players that have been with the community longer or are more dedicated, this doesn't mean they're some sort of deity. Same goes for the server owner himself. He's nobody special.

In fact, I urge all servers to add such a rule, they help build and support the server and they deserve some respect for it. This would be like disrespecting the person who offers you a free house.

Was playing DarkRP on a server with my friend, i was gun dealer and i sold weapon like a gun dealer would, then i got permabanned for reason "selling wepons to mob boss"

Having a set-in-stone rule list is and always has been a stupid idea.

But not to the point where you have to permaban just because someone said something "not nice" to you. And if they are to ensure such a good experience on the server, why do we even need such a rule? If the admins truly know what they're doing and can act in a proffesional manner, then we don't even need an "admin disrespect" rule. Sure, admins deserve respect. It's good to be spoken out at every once in awhile. That is, if you can do it constructively. As stated before though, if they don't do it constructively, it's no reason for a permaban. And in response to the house thing, you need a house. It's either you have a house or you sleep outside. I don't need a server, I can go to any other server, so a better example would be everyone's giving out free houses and I can pick and choose which ones I go to.

Not been banned but spawned into some build server and I got shot then when I respawned, I was in a cage and people were shooting at me, fucking funny, NOOBS.

I told everyone Blitzkrieg is a german-originated word. Got banned because: Blitzkrieg zis spinaish fyukterd.

Changed my name to Charlie Sheen on a RP server and got banned for "offensive content".

I get banned alot for glitching into the gun shop on Downtown

Admin is annoyed by my advanced duplicator files and various contraptions Starts making my screen flash colors and slows down time, etc. Permaban It's also stupid when you play TTT and get kicked/banned for "RDM" just because you accidentally kill a non-traitor. Look, sometimes my detective-work is effective in finding terrorists, and other times I kill an innocent person. It's not "RDM", I wasn't randomly killing. I was killing people who I honestly thought were evil, and who had guns aimed at my face and shot at me.

Oh, I forgot. "Kicked for being a Nazi" because my Steam usernames has the word Blitzkrieg in it..

Got a new one, this happened yesterday in CSS. I was in a knife fight with somebody and I won. He went full rage mode and started repeatedly yelling "hacks", the admin for some odd reason believed him and permabanned me. Dumbass didn't know about right clicking adding more power to the knife.

Got banned for blowing up the admin's wooden crate fort. My barrels needed to be flung what can I say.

All 43 rules of my previous server could all be summed up into "Use Common Sense", but people need each one individually fed to them with a spoon, in detail.

I joined a server were the Owner was a little kid, I was banned for thinking he was a girl.

I was permabanned from a darkrp server for "fail mayor" (not a big surprise, the admins were babies)

For being a "Fat lazy american who loves McDonalds", on a British spacebuild server.

Garrysmod servers and player just are bad sometimes... Its almost as bad as an average cod player.. (almost) Heres whats wrong 1. Mingebags 2. 8 yr olds with admin... If that were to be fixed (the later easy and earlier near impossible) then we'd have a good time on more servers...
