MOST stupid reason you got banned from a GMod server? - Garry's Mod

so i tried playing hl2rp for the first time yesterday. got jailed for investigating a crime scene with some guy and when i got out he refused to talk to me and got the cops who pointed a gun at me so i ran. turns out he was an admin and dragged me away, saying i have to use /me runs rather than actually running. later got banned for walking away from a cop while he was telling me to face the wall, i didnt even know he was talking to me

As the citizen you're not supposed to check crime scenes according to the goverment and the /me is... I guess it's so the officer can react to it.

Got banned for winning as a traitor in ttt twice in a row. They said I was hacking

I went on a server called " RealDarkRP |stable| " say "Hi" then got banned instantly.

The most stupidest reason was, when i stole shipment from maradeur( Dark rp server ). He was an admin, so he tells me to give him back or he will ban me. I said no, so he banned me perm. with reason "a"

i was banned for aimbotting on a build to kill server when i ran into an enemys base and opened fire with a machine gun , i killed all of the enemy team cause they were standing in a line and the admin banned me :l

Speaking of build to kill servers, I got banned from one a few months ago for "admin disrespect" I spawned something that wasn't mine (adv dupe) and then the admin said that I couldn't do that. I looked at the rules and there was nothing of the sort. I told him this and continued using the dupe. He then said he'd ban me for disrespect so I played along and deleted it, but told him how admin disrespect is a stupid rule. I'm fine with "don't disrespect other players" but just because you're an admin doesn't mean you deserve more respect than anybody else. Anyways, after I told him how that rule is retarded he banned me permanently

Admins often think they're superior to normal players. Admins are at least equally often stupid cunts.

I was building on some BuildRP server when the admin dupes my nearly finished building, then deletes it "cos u cant have big props". This was half an hour or so after I started building, and I began with the larger props, so it didn't make much sense. I asked him to at least spawn it once more so I could dupe and save it, but he denied duping it (while I clearly saw the ghost). So I told him, "Well, you sir, are a bit of a prick." Once I was on an RP server and the doors were moveable. I moved like 10-20 doors and got banned. :v:

Gmod admins on DarkRP and TTT are 99% ignorant idiots, and especially hate it when you point out their lack of skills

I was on my favourite DarkRP server. I arrested 2 minges that were ruining the server and got banned for 1 day. Reason, "The server hates you". Suuuuuuuuuuuuure.

i was banned from darkrp for running a shop it was literally a darkdm server

I was on a Sandbox server with a friend, we were off in our own corner of the map building our pointless things. Now this server had godmode and no pvp damage on, so it was impossible to hurt or kill other players. However there was some annoying little kid on the server that kept running around and trying to gravgun/physgun other players stuff, however due to prop protection was having no luck. He annoyed my friend and me for a while, but left after I hit him on the head with a large prop, accidentally 20 or so times. So my friend and I went back to our building, a few minutes later in chat I see the kid type !annoy NaRyan (or something like that). Well after he typed that I got blasted with loads of nonstop high pitched sounds. Of course when that happened it made me jump, smash the prop I was holding with the physgun into the ground and let go of it, And typical gmod decided to make that prop have one of those spazzed out physics moments, where it goes flying off at the speed of sound, bouncing all over the place. And of course the prop smacks into another player, launching him high into the air and a few 100 feet away. So I undo the prop, and as I am typing "Sorry" to the player the prop hit I get banned for the reason "RDM" Guess I was on the one Godmode no PvP damage server where RDM is against the rules. Also my friend got banned for "Admin Disrespect" when he pointed out to the Admin what RDM was.

I'm admin on a tf2 server and I have made sure the admin disrespect rule was gone. It's so much bullshit, since you don't even need to probe that the person did something wrong.

I got banned for getting an achievement the owner didnt have.

I hear people saying they hate rules against admin disrespect, but what about rules about not disrespecting anyone on the server, including admins? Like I banned one buttmad for no reason guy for throwing racial slurs everywhere, using fuckin' fuckin' fuckin' every other word, and making death threats to anyone who spoke on mic. (Didn't sound like trolling either, really sounded like your average raging CoD player.) Banned for disrespecting other players and racial slurs.

People will purposely say inflammatory stuff for the sheer reason of getting a harsh reaction and once they receive the ban, they know they've won. (Voice)mute them and problem solved.

Yeah I ban people permanently for death threats to anyone, or when they threaten to DDoS anyone. We have our policy at ByB for that stuff. But I don't ban people if they disrespect me. I, aswell ban people if they keep being assholes and swear in OOC. We do ban people (dark rp, you know) if they are being racist and homophobic in character aswell since we don't want anti social idiots in the server.

Makes it so it's like they're not even muted. The guy was being disrespectful to everyone, not just me, and people were begging me to ban him. I don't ban for admin disrespect. I ban for people disrespect, regardless of rank.
