MOST stupid reason you got banned from a GMod server?

Ok I really don't understand the complaining.

Stupid ban reasons go hand in hand with gmod.

This is the gmod section, so gmod goes hand in hand with gmod.

The thread is called 'stupid ban reasons' and is classed as a "shitpost"

If you're coming in here looking for Shakespeare go look somewhere else.

All gmod communities are filled with drama and this is just an overflow of drama, if you don't want to be involved them skip over and don't read it or ignore the posts.

EDIT: this has been going on for 6 months++ now, a comment complaining about the drama will not stop it.

On topic, I have a bit of code at the beginning of all my E2 which checks if the owner's Steam ID is mine or not, if it isn't then that means that some nub admin duped my chip and tried to paste it, which then executes "ulx ban ^ 2880 [Shikari E2 Shield] 2 Days: Attempted to dupe an E2 that doesn't belong to you - Major admin warning issued". I was making this code in single player, not realizing that ULX sees your Steam ID as STEAM_0:0:0 in singleplayer, so when I placed the E2 the damn thing banned me from my own game and I lost the rest of the E2 I was working on as I had to delete bans.txt and restart gmod to unban myself :(.

I get kicked a lot by that stupid feature in DarkRP that autokicks you for killing a certain number of people in some long span of time. I have had it where there is a massive clan of gangsters and thieves, and they all team up and raid a base I have made. I usually always make mine with a long hallway at some point that is for the sole purpose of getting all raiders in a line so I can mow them down. However, I usually always get kicked after the third person gets killed.

Speaking of massive clans of people, another feature that I hate is the demote thing. Yes, it is great for getting people out of jobs when they abuse it, but I have had it where I raid some massive base created by another massive clan of people, and if I manage to survive the autokick for deathmatching, then all of the players demote me.

I think my third gripe is with server rules, in particular the RDM ones. If I see a bunch of cops running at me trying to arrest me, then why do I get banned or demoted for rdm by killing them all? Am I just supposed to stop once I see the baton and say "FUCK, HE PULLED OUT AN ARREST BATON! I CAN'T RUN FROM THAT SHIT".

I think those are among the stupid reasons I have gotten banned. The rest are usually deserved, as I minge DarkRP about 85% of the time I'm on it.

Killed the owner of a server while playing TTT. He was a traitor and I had seen him down someone with a shotgun. Even his body checked out. Proceeds to slay me, and when I contest his action, bans me for 2 hours with the reason "RDM". Mind you, this isn't some punk kid on a power trip. It's some dude in his early twenties.

Banned because some stupid fuckass admin wanted my house as a dupe, including the E2 lock that got me banned before (this was another BuildRP server). In the time between he said I was getting banned and it actually happened, I was able to press "z" about 15 times, and just before I was kicked, he screamed since he saw my house dissappear.

Even if he had duped it, the E2 can only be edited by me, and if you try to edit it to get the code, an invisible panel knocks you across the map.

There is a way round that along with the way I use, not that I'm going to post it here obviously as I can't see a way to patch it, PM me if you want and I'll tell you how if you think you can fix it, but most admins who abuse to steal someone's code are too stupid to figure it out.

Obviously replace my Steam ID with yours or it won't work, you'll also end up banning yourself from the server if you are an admin. Don't paste it in single player either or you'll ban yourself from your own game like I did :suicide: (scroll up for more info, I'm not typing it again). First timer is to end them, second and third is the fail safe to self destruct if they don't have wire_expression2_concmd 1 enabled, it also gives them pretty instructions to their own demise :).

Yeah. The only people who can override my defense system are my fellow admins and moderators on another server, since the copy there is modified for our use only. Other than the defense it it a E2 and EGPv3 Keypad made for me by CandianBill as a request.

A) They're a sociopath
or
B) They're trying to offend people
Either way they're going to end up being trouble, so you might as well ban them as soon as they spray the furry porn in the middle of the spawn area.

There are a lot of terrible things on the internet, and I choose not to look at them. That's one of the reasons I'm on FP and not 4Chan for instance.

I'm happy with just ignoring them. But, there are some people who can't ignore them. I remember hearing something about a "Goatse 2.0" spray last night. Then I mute them if they can't shut up about it.
