MOST stupid reason you got banned from a GMod server? - Garry's Mod

Anyway, I was recently banned again from another server. Stupid bans seem to follow me around. So, I was on a sandbox server, map was gm_bigcity. I joined, there were a few people there including an admin. (I like servers with not a lot of people on them) I say "Hi" but no one responds. I noticed a bunch of kill messages in the top right but ignored them. I spawned a door to inspire me to do something with it, when suddenly I am teleported to the area where there is the waste water that damages you, not directly in the water but on top of the building in the middle of it. Turns out me and the rest of the players except the admin were all stuck in the same exact place, stuck in each other. The admin was constantly killing us with an SMG, and every time we died we would spawn in the same place. I try to talk to him to get him to stop, but he just says "no noob" and continues killing me and the others. I managed to drop a grenade right before I died. The admin didn't notice, and it exploded under him and killed him. I noclip away and he says "WTFF UR SUCH A FAG". I respond with "Says the person who was spawnkilling us." He goes silent for a few seconds, then BAM, permabanned. Reason: explode hacks Maybe I shouldn't join servers with "1337" in the name.

I got banned from a TTT server for "MASS RDMINGANDFWEGTHGHOSTING, EFBIWOIBITCHOUFBDWOEUFGGHDOWEDLHFOM" They said I RDMed a AFK, when I only accidently hit him once (and he lived). They slayed me the next round, and they said it was kinda OK and they wouldn't ban me. Then I got banned 5 seconds later. Meanwhile, real RDMers with much less karma were allowed to stay. They also said I was ghosting, because I killed 2 Ts 20 seconds into games. I saw them firing at and killing people. Another time in a RP server, I was banned cause I was "propblocking" my base, which had a money printer in it. Admins are all so f* annoying. I think the solution is to disable admins in ALL server. The guy who made the server is the only one needed. [editline]17th January 2013[/editline] And another time in a RP server, a cop and me found a money printer in a room owned by this. The guy wasn't arrested, but I was, because I accidently took a bill that came out of the printer. Then I was banned.

I actually run a nice little DarkRP server that is dedicated to better admins, doesn't have VIP, and I make sure I know without a shadow of a doubt that my admins will not minge. So I join in, go thief and walk up to the hotels and look for a base to raid, I find this little hotel room and proceed to lockpick the door. I notice it's an admins base but I didn't worry because I was not breaking any rules. I get through the fading door and there's no one inside so I walk about two steps before a superadmin (Not even the one who owned the house mind you.) noclips through the wall and shoots me in the face with a shotgun. I get kicked for RDM when I had just joined and didn't even have a gun. So I rejoin and ask why I was kicked, the owner and a few supers are on so I keep asking why I got kicked and no one responds. I promptly get banned with the message "Banned for Permanent: Reason" Fuckin seem's legit to me.

Then I was banned.[/QUOTE] In the server I'm admin on I get complaints about rdm about every 5 seconds. It's simply impossible to catch every rdmer. When I do see someone rdm through spectate, I kick/ban them. This might mean that people who rdm less get kicked, and people who rdm more stay in. There's simply nothing I can do about it, even if I spend all of my time spectating people.

About 3-4 months ago I ran into a Russian TTT server. I was curious why my download was so slow and found out it was hosted by google code. When I browsed this google code I also found a server.cfg. Inside of this server.cfg was actually legit update to date information. I logged in with rcon gave myself admin and un banned everyone from the server on the ban list. It took them a day or so to catch on and I was banned. I don't know if their still around how ever I do know they had a bad ass server loading url.

Got banned a few days ago for telling the admin of a server with no prop protect and no godmode that he should look into getting another admin or something, because the server had been spammed to death three times within two hours. He said "It's a garrys mod server, it doesn't need a moderator, kid." Then he banned me

I got perma banned for deleting a server's garrysmod folder w/ all their content BS BAN: 0/10

Was banned on a TTT server today heres what happened I spawned as a traitor, about half-way into the round I propkilled 3 innocents one of them was about 8 years old he said "Hey you why did you propkill?" I replied that I was a Traitor he replies "But thats against the rules" (sadly he doesn't realize there are innocents doing propkills) I replied But there isn't a rule in the motd against propkilling. I just got banned from a DarkRP server because I tried to arrest 2 RDMers who were killing cops even though they weren't gangsters. One of them turned out to be the owner of the server. They said you can't arrest someone for RDMing. Meanwhile, in the rules, it said RDMers will be arrested.

Now it just seems like children are attracted to it like a horrible PERP server.

Arresting an RDMer should never be a bannable offense.

Specially if it's just a single murder or 2, I mean blatant running around spawn killing etc then they should just fuck off and go play elsewhere, but a murder can be roleplayed.

I find RDM, NLR and random arrests the hardest to deal with. I don't ban unless I actually see it myself, and with these things it often just happens once and the reports come in afterwards. There's no way to verify the breaking of NLR in hindsight. I know I shouldn't trust the console. That and people shout RDM and NLR every 10 seconds. It might make a difference that I administrate a server that often has 25-30 players on.

You have to play it out as if it's a real situation. It's quite hard for minors to grasp such a concept. ( Not saying you are one, I don't know if you are and don't really care. I've just seen many young kids go on these servers, start trash like that, and get banned a minute later and cry on the ban appeal sections of the servers website. )
