protip: do not use the majority of the dod vehicle models for reference, they are all hilariously wrong tiger- modeled wrong, hull too long. turret is accurate sherman - overall too large, gun too large, weird inaccuracies jeep - too large and was modeled from a description of a willys by telegram sudkufuzz 222: haven't found any inaccuracies kubel: haven't found any inaccuracies
Seems a tad angular and boxy, and not in a particularly good way.
Previous one was boxy. I think I made it a little bit more smoother (70 props): [t]http://s262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_carconstruct_b1-80041.jpg[/t][t]http://s262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_carconstruct_b1-80042.jpg[/t][t]http://s262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_carconstruct_b1-80044.jpg[/t]
Would you mind posting links to larger pictures? Those that you posted are a bit on the small side.
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/LzEg8.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Front of the Jet like thing [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/dQhAg.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Better view [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/wzA5C.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Going to be powered by this turbine thing. I have never used Sprops before and thought I would give it a try, I'm not one for detail or anything and it is far from finished but its turning out rather nice. I am basing it partially off of the Northrop T-38 Talon Jet trainer, but with only one jet turbine instead of two. Also, anyone have a decent idea of how to make an afterburner with Sprops?
Id like to chime in and say that that isn't a turbine :P if anything its a turbo prop. The front of turbines isn't what produces the thrust. The fan part is for the air intake for the actual 'exploding' part of the turbine. Turbines basically make a constant controlled explosion inside to produce the thrust. Also after burners use a nozzle that can be narrow for fast flight or typically during take off wider to produce more thrust. If you wanted to be cool you would made it out of holos that moved :P Cheers, Ugrd -Aviation Enthusiast Edit - I love the design of it though, it looks like a cross between a F18 and a F16
You should make the fins in the front smaller than the ones in the back.
Snazzy jet. What's gonna be turning that turbine?
Id like to chime in and say that that isn't a turbine :P if anything its a turbo prop. Is that supposed to be a T1 Cunningham? Because it's waaaaay too long.

None of those pictures work for me, Slithers. And it's relaly sad because I know how cool some of that stuff looks. This is pretty old video of the project, but I just now got around to uploading it. Some things that aren't accurate to the current state of the vehicle include the dashboard gauge system, steering wheel, and lack of seats, so please ignore those if possible.
And this is a project I started today, take a wild guess at what car i'm making :P I'm doing this one to see how detailed i can build without any prop limits, the front part + the chassis is already ~110 props @Slithers, Awesome cars you've got there, i love the GTS370 Coupe

Almost right, its a 1962 Corvette modified for Barry Blomquist take a look, its called the C1RS
Almost right, its a 1962 Corvette modified for Barry Blomquist take a look, its called the C1RS
I don't think i can give you enough rainbows for that.

jesus what the fuck happened to that corvette, it's fucking ruined also slithers your cars are getting nice, but your wheels are often too big and lack rims (or are too wide in the front) best way to get perfect wheels: use makesphere to set radius, holopad to make wheel model. [editline]16th September 2012[/editline] no old corvette should ever be anything but original [t]http://www.remarkablecars.com/main/chevrolet/1962-corvette.jpg[/t]
i think it looks awesome, not as a corvette, i agree, but as a car in general also they didnt ruined a corvette for this, they made this car from scratch with the '62 corvette as inspiration
Then why did you say it was a modified Corvette [editline]16th September 2012[/editline] Get ur story straight man
meh, idk, I wasn't thinking, doesnt really matter anyway...
no old corvette should ever be anything but original
Visually anyway. I've got no qualms against a modern LS7, 5-speed, aircon, power steering and AM/FM/MP3/Satelite radio installed in one.
your wheels are often too big and lack rims (or are too wide in the front) best way to get perfect wheels: use makesphere to set radius, holopad to make wheel model.
I am aware of this, all of the cars I just posted have size 30 or equivalent wheels besides the Mamba which has 35s. I should stop being lazy and make rims....and there is no way Im using wheels smaller than 30 for speed reasons. I should have probably used smaller wheels on the GTS370 but whatever. Thanks for your input anyways. I need new toys, anyone got any ideas, every week I get bored of my previous work and build something new to have fun with like how children get bored of their toys and go play with something else after 10-20 minutes. Edit: A original classic car is better than an overdone classic car, paint job in the pic of that modified Vette though is nice. BUT any car with an LS7 is better than the original....
You can use a convar to enable the smaller wheels to spin fast enough for suitable speeds. I forget what it is though.
