Propeller tool. It still has a bit of load on the engine because the air resistance of the propeller.
I wouldn't mind trying to power it with the fin tool. See if the engine can handle it. It's only 2cyl so it's definately not the most powerful engine I have.
The only problem I have with the fin tool is that it doesn't seem to be very consistent when spinning around, and weight :(

Check out Phoenix's post a while back, he has his high aspect ratio prop diagrammed. It works wonders in terms of performance at low power

Lancia delta hf integrale evo2 i've been working on since I halted the corvette project (Still WiP)

That actually looks better than what I'd thought it would, no offense. Love how you got the wheel arches right, people who build cars with those sort of wheel arches rarely gets them done properly.

Prepare to be loved forever.
Ooh, great job with that! Guess i'll look for another car! Been thinking about some ooold style 1950's pickups, or maybe that super long Cadillac from the 70's
But isn't the integrale a twin turbo???????
But isn't the integrale a twin turbo???????
it'd be kinda silly to twin turbocharge an i4. lol... single turbocharging is better for smaller engines as you don't have to wait for the spool up, not as long at least.
But isn't the integrale a twin turbo???????
I'm not 100% sure about this but acording to my researches the Integrale Evoluzione II has 1 turbocharger from Garrett, not 2
Should make an old car carrier truck. Or an old firetruck

the purpose of twin turbocharging is to reduce spool up time, not the other way around. it is much easier for two 80mm turbos to spool than a single 160mm (i don't even know if they go that big)
amount of space taken up is also the advantage to twin turbo, but twin turbos usually only apply to twin bank engines like V types or inline 6s
need acf turbos. after that, acf lift kits.
threw up a quick airframe to test turbines. i got 130 real mph/160 gmod kph

Silly Thunderbolt, propellers are for Spitfires!
Finally made an E2 Transmission so that I can use my hydraulic engines in cars. I couldn't do it before because my e2 skills sucked. And I didn't really want to just use someone elses. Uses applyAngforce to rotate the output shaft at desired ratio.
Also puts a load on the input so that the engine doesn't have infinite power and for engine braking. Comes as a individual piece for easy installation, just weld/ballsocket the input and outputs to something, set the weights and your good to go.
Here's a quick test. The thing on the front is the transmission.

Now I need to make some smaller engines.
That engine could use a flywheel..
A nice attack helicopter, crap load of guns and zero ammo.
I took a photo of my friend's car's tachometer......

.... for replicating it in GMod of course!

I'm coding it in GPU so it's going to be many times faster than a regular EGP tachometer, E2 will only take care of the math for the needle angle. I will release the GPU and E2 code here when it's finished in case anyone wants to use it. :downs:
Good to see some ASM for once. E2 is a fucking syntax-shredder.
Has anyone used Starfall? How easy is it to use?
A little bit harder than the exp2. It's powerful but it doesn't provide you with most of the functions that e2 has - you have to write them yourself. It gives you an oportunity to define functions like you want (and it's quite easy. All you need to do is look in to expression2 folder and copy functions which you like. You don't need to write same code everytime, you can include easily existing one).
Unfortunately at this moment you can't dupe starfallchip or contraptions with it.
Wish I knew asm for gpu, holograms, while awesome, can lag

Well, I started learning GPU yesterday and I built the tachometer today (I just got it finished) — It's not hard, really :eng101:
Here's an AWESOME GPU tutorial:

Did you mean to leave the Tach at x100 for prop engines? (I'm pretty sure prop engines are much lower rpms then acf ones but I could be wrong) Or are you going to use it for acf too?
green.

Put together a new aircraft chip. Handles planes, helis, and shit in between. Opcount is ~150, which is higher than expected, but still about 1/10th that of badger's heli or plane chips :v:
Been doing some brain storming for balancing helicopters and aircraft, decided that to balance helis vs tanks, a heli should be 1/3 the weight (since it has the maneuverability & speed advantages, and no engines). So a ten ton tank would face off against a ~3.5 ton heli, a twenty ton tank would go against a ~6.5 ton, a thirty ton would be against a 10 ton, etc. This seems to fall roughly within realistic helicopter weights as well; loaded examples being the 8.3 ton Cheyenne, the Super Cobra at ~6.5 tons, the ~10 ton KA-50, the ~8 ton Apache, etc.
Thoughts?

Not as easy as E2, but less retarded. It's Lua, so it's pretty simple really.

I am noticing in every ones vehicles they are using chips what is the use for it? I am new to all this stuff.
I wish I could get a fin plane to fly right. I can never get them to balance properly. I've gotten a few close but they need constant trim correction to fly level, and that only works at a single given speed. :\
Buick GSX Stage 1

Parenting the bodywork to the wire chip allows you to repaint it without unparenting it.
