Aren't caravans meant to be towed? I mean, yours is pretty damn classy but I think the proper term is Camper Van or something.

oh oops.
thing is with naval ships, you cant really make them realistic size, and making them sink realistically is a challenge unless there is a kind of entity to do it. i did it by having ammo crates in sections of the ships being tied to wire weights (or setmass bouyancy'd props) and have it sink at a slow rate.

How I do it is by using vending machines for flotation and positioning them around the hull at the waterline to simulate damage. The main problem right now is the size of engines - a few ~20l engines are not going to move a ship that weighs 200t very quickly.
but that uses a lot of props. should probably just do that kind of thing with scaled down ships using 155s as 406s or something.
Do you guys have a link to an E2 suspension chip? Trying to make my own isn't ending too well.

Ya at the moment my destroyer im fiddling with is probably gonna be the length of.. I dont know, a little less than a quarter of the map? xD It's gonna be pretty huge, i might have to use some special diesels or something to fin prop it around.
Mmhmm. Even a simple, 150-200 prop ship, by the time it is armored ends up being grossly underpowered unless one is willing to put up with the drone of 20 engines in the hold. Something that is interesting is that weight is not actually that big a consideration with ship engines right now - they are all too small to really make a difference.
TLDR - 20l engines right now weigh ~2t. For ship use, I think that engines in the range of 60-100 liters and 20-40t(to exclude use in ground vehicles) would be fair. Very low RPM, Very high torque, Very large flywheel etc. Would require a set of X-large gearboxes to cope with torque increase.
Haven't posted any content for a while, mostly because gmod13 is comming soon and I feel like everything i build will be broken >.> but today i decided to make a farewell car for gmod12, its the first car i wanted to keep low prop but still smooth, it turned out pretty good i think. Built in 5 hours or so, 159 props with the chassis, still need to make animated holos an its done

And here's the gauge I made for it too

Still WiP, gotta add Rpm counter and maybe fuel if i feel like wasting some time ^^

Lovely gauge you have there. I've always been a fan of singular gauges that combine everything on a single display.
Worked a bit more on the interior of my still-unnamed sportscar.

Notable changes and additions:
removed wood material in favor of something less "classic" and more "sporty".
Added radio and navigation system
Added AC vents
Added shifting knob
Added inner arm cushion or sorts
Swapped existing gauges for improved digital multigauge
Moved seats around and tilted them more to accommodate people correctly
Note that the shifter does move in an H pattern through 6 gears, and the boot on the stalk does "deform" in a sense.
One more beauty shot of the center console and the dashboard

Looks like fast render in Maya.
That means it's awesome.

New V10 im working on. Im sharing because i want to know, should i add the intake to the top, or leave it bare so you guys have space to make your own?
Think it'd be nice to have space for our own intakes.
Also, model looks great. Glad to see that the front of the engine isn't bare anymore.

Should find a way to make super/turbo chargers for ACF. Would be awesome. I was thinking of picking up lua and coding in fuel and heat into the acf engine for even more realism

why is there pulleys on one side and a valvetrain cover on one end..?
the flywheel should be the only thing at one end...
What would make ACF 1000% better would be to have the connections between engine-gearbox-wheels as holograms instead of that horrible rope.

Yes.
Also, if electric motors were separate from their batteries, that way you could stash the batteries all in one place on your vehicle or what have you.
The electric motors give me a strange urge to make a Toyota Prius. I'm not exactly sure if I'm sane or not.
I think the reason the electric motors have those batteries in place is to balance them out, as it makes it a lot harder to place the engine in a smaller vehicle. If it were just the tiny little motor without the batteries but with all the power, it would be a pretty overpowered, I think.
I didn't mean battery-less motors, just set up similar to the cannons and ammo. Link the batteries to the motor within a set range and they work like normal.
I want to see a generator added. DIESEL ELECTRIC FTW HEUHEUHEUHEUHEUHEUHEUHEUHEUH

I was just explaining why the model is the way it is.

Your assuming one set of belts goes to valvetrain instead if comes from a starter. xD Could always model another piece that looks more like a starter, but im not sure if that mattered with the design of ACF's engines at this point.

True. I certainly can understand why they are the way they are, I just think it'd add a nice bit of versatility.
