Every aircraft dupe I have will be raped out the ass And I'll cut my balls off with a rusty butter knife.

The switch from gm12 to gm13 won't affect your dupes at all provided the tools are updated.

I will continue work on my fancy projects, in that case.
First time working on something for quite a while.
Making my IRL car in GMod.

The real car;

It's a pretty complex build with a ton of silly curves, which you can really only see from the air. The whole side curves because no car is square.

watching the comparison between my actual car and the car in GMod and god GMod's colours are dull as fuck.
It's really just the mats, which are pretty much matte. There's not much need for super reflective metal in a dystopian world like HL2.
are there any fascinating, nicely reflecting materials that I have not heard about?
Err, if I remember right, a bunch of the PHX materials are really shiny. I think it's mostly just searching through the mat list, some of the blank/white materials are quite interesting to use.
That map also has some pretty odd lighting.
I'm also open to suggestions on materials to add to sprops, if you guys have ideas.

Chameleon :v:
I'd love metal materials like gold, bronze, etc. I'm aware that TF2 has a gold texture, but it's difficult to find as it's not in the list and the model that uses it isn't in an obvious spot. Doesn't help that 80% of the building community hasn't a clue how to use the texture list.

Some Carbon Fibre would do nicely!

A sheet texture that looks similar to that picture and wraps nicely around cylinders would make me a very happy man.

There's actually already a carbon fiber material in the game, you just have to find the texture name. It came with PHX when it was still in addon form.
And it looks like total ass, honestly. A lot of the textures that would normally look really nice look terrible.

caterpillar tread mats. I'm fairly knowledgeable about them. Let me school everyone:

Late Russian single-pin tracks, piece of shit terrible and wear out like balls.

British style steel with rubber pad tracks. Off the Chieftain, similar designs found on other vehicles from the 50s-70s. Lots of internal friction and shit because the goddamn things have so many connectors even if they are lubed. The track pad fitting is a big advancement over the Tiger/Panther/Famo type

Left: eastern style three-piece bushed track, used on modernized tracklayers. Fast, changeable pads, but still high rolling resistance. On the right you see the Western style three-piece bushed design, which is much better for rolling resistance/lifespan and a generally excellent design with no link-to-link connection.

Look close you can see the interwar track design pioneered by vickers. In order to keep the friction down and lifespan up, the links are very small. Made em expensive. An Abrams has like 70-80 links, whereas a tiny tank like this could have as many as 140.

US WW2 & cold war two-pin rubber bushed track, fast as shit with a VERY long lifespan. No link-to-link connection makes the tracks slightly heavier for the same strength, but the rolling resistance and lifespan of them are MUCH better.

Cable-reinforced linked track. Long-lasting, good for shit that goes fast. Used on construction equipment.

Kegresse track. Solid rubber outside, used in light construction equipment and halftracks with accents. Rides like sex.

WW1 solid link track. Other side has guide rails on side as well as top, still used on heavy shit with balls but a goddamn BITCH to fix or fit on anything (seriously it's like "god please kill me now" difficult, you've gotta fit side guide rails with front ones. The friction is incredible, gotta rev like fuck to move, it's like driving on a flat tire made of metal and ass).

Four-pin integral grouser small-link track. Internally lubricated, very strong, complex and intricate oiling system. Often found on large boxy tanks pwning Russians.

My second attempt at something with wheels... Used measurements for a lambo, it's not really meant to be modeled after it, but i did take a little bit of inspiration from it
Red logic: Russian = autocrap

Extremely small, thin props... Mainly Tubular things. Stuff i could use to make details like interiors or grills or headlights =O

I'm not aware of any worn out parts on my balls.
Hi where i can find sprops tubes? I have sprops but i dont have any rounded props. Im building Valentine tank so i need rounded prop for turret.
We need a map in the same style of Hell's Revenge Moab, Utah.

I get that when I have SLI running, but if I restart computer or steam is goes away
Thanks!

No.
Modern, high speed tracklayers create an enormous amount of friction when they move. Tracks are expensive, a bitch to transport because they're heavy, and a maintenance nightmare.
As an example, the tracks on a T-34 or T-55 (single pin all steel unlubricated track) averaged a lifespan of around 250km [SUB]source: aberdeen proving ground records, "Inside the Soviet Army" by Viktor Suvorov[/SUB], whereas the tracks on a BMP-1 (Sherman- and Vickers-inspired small western style tracks) last an impressive 8,000km[SUB]source: voennoe delo[/SUB]. Yes, one is heavier, but that still doesn't explain that enormous change. 250km is not far, certainly compared to the M4's 800-1000km. This is general mechanical knowledge, basic understanding of material stresses and wear, not bias. You can insult me all I want, but then why are modern FSU vehicles increasingly being fitted with western-style tracks?
tl;dr. Get.
I would pay actual money if it was possible to go beyond Source limits on rotation / angvel.
[editline]penis[/editline]
maybe now that garry has access to engine stuff, maayybe just it'll be possible :optimistic:
GMod DLC: get 1000000000000 angvel for £5!
(but i'd totally pay for more map space)
I'd pay for better fucking welds
