As a request, could you have a second set of tires that dont have rims at all for us who like making our own?
Great stuff, are you going to add bigger sizes too?
Nah I thought I would just have those size 15 wheels right there, nothing else; that's all anyone needs right? :P
As a request, could you have a second set of tires that dont have rims at all for us who like making our own?
Not a bad idea.

I really don't want to request too much, but some sport wheels would nice, here's my shopping list :P Sorry for the long post :( [IMG]http://forum.mazda6club.com/attachments/wheels-tires/45330d1139671429-help-me-pick-some-rims-please-adr_m_sport_18_x_7.5___22lbs__.jpg[/IMG] I know you are trying to keep the poly count low, but gmod really needs some old spoke rims, something like these Btw, doing a raw google search for "rims" is BAD, you get shit like this...
Also somewhat unwilling to make you do more work, but I think some wheels appropriate for tanks would be nice as well.
Please don't ask him to ruin the rims... they are fine as they are.
This is too good to be true
As for sportier rims, I'm not going to make any thing as fancy as what was posted above, I am trying to keep things simple. Like I said earlier I don't want to use modelling for any of the detail, meaning I am limiting myself to ~300 polys for a tire. The detail is all from the textures, and I'm not so sure a texture of something so intricate would turn out good.
You're doing an amazing job, have a heart. Now that we're best of friends:

Ya, if you wanna keep it simple, consider like, 1920's, 1950's, sport, economy, and truck rims. there ya go
I might just make my own wheel pack then, consisting primarily of imported wheels cause they look good and are already made :P, prepare for massive poly counts! I think I'll start now. Last time I exported shit, I got funky clipping issues when 2 of the exported props were in front of each other.
Whenever i get back into gmod, i HAVE to try and make a delta wing.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_INdbXMqsw&feature=g-u-u
Got the first wheel done! Sorry for the pic being 2 miles wide D: Edit: Made the pic smaller! People, start using [ t ] and [/ t ] for massive images so the thread isn't stupidly wide... [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/577845243040051729/10FC512B2BEC329DA7CB45DA5BE1817809621A5F/[/t]

Pack is starting to come along nicely. What do yall think? Any suggestions or requests? Edit 2 or 3 or something: While I'm taking the time to make a pack, how many of you would be willing to throw it on your server once I release it? Looking highly sexy
Okay I added my wheels, because I need a break :P. If you downloaded any of the test wheels, you should delete those. SProps SVN - Remember to move the settings folder, and delete the old spawnlists from it.
In tonights update I added some wheels. So far, there are four different styles. I designed these to be performance-friendly. I wanted to avoid using the model for any of the detail, and instead get what I could out of the textures themselves. The screenshots do not do them justice, I think they turned out well. Features: • Low poly mesh(~300 polys each) with custom high detail textures baked from high poly models. • All of the models have LODs which further reduce polycount by around 60%. • All four styles have a thick and thin version. Each version has 10 sizes ranging from 15 to 60 units diameter. • The coloring tool will only affect the wheels, not the tire rubber or treads. • Each model is accompanied by a second material which will hide the rim completely (if you want to make your own). Here are a few ways to access the rimless versions: 1) Use the console command "material_override sprops/trans/wheels/LETTER_rimless". Obviously replace LETTER with the corresponding wheel. 2) Use a skin switcher tool. 3) Use the models as holograms, and use the e2 function "holoSkin(Index, SkinNumber)". 4) Add the secondary skins to the spawn list. To keep things condensed, I didn't do this by default. But its really easy:
"1" { "type" "model" "model" "sprops/trans/wheel_a/wheel15.mdl" "skin" "1" } "2" { "type" "model" "model" "sprops/trans/wheel_a/wheel15.mdl" "skin" "2" }
Don't forget to move the included spawnlists into the main gmod directory. Delete the old ones, too!
What about a wheel for tanks? Say any of those rims without the tire. Anyway this is fucking epic and useful!

I've made some kind of one person transport armored vehicle. Powered by thrusters, at best this vehicle can climb(that is launch itself in the air at max speed) a thin phx plate at 20 degrees to the ground, it's shit as fuck but I do not posess the knowledge of the arcane arts of wire/expression2/apply force or anything that makes stuff actually work. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/sdHH4.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/RPMfR.jpg[/thumb] Check out that motherfucking armor up front, it stops even 9mm bullets! holy shit I love this. How does the parting system work?
holy shit I love this. How does the parting system work?
Refresh, i have uploaded a video. :)
Hey, has anyone fixed the ACF toolset? Visclip, ACF Weight etc? I'm fixing the tools myself but I'm no expert with the tool framework and really, fixing garry's api changes in other people's code doesn't motivate me to do the best job. I'd much prefer to get the full toolset from someone who really cares about them instead of using my stopgap solutions permanently :v:
god damn, its a wheel revolution for gmod.
Gmod update...not like it could get any worse.....I hope..... Anyways, I'll probably release a copy of what I have so far for the wheels tomorrow
god damn, its a wheel revolution for gmod.
hi brahe youre nice
Any news regarding Precision Allignment, Amplar's multiparent, Welis tools, <Fading door>, GB_Radial, and nocollide multi?
