Edit: Thanks to NTDave for sharing screenshots of the wheel pack in use :D Even notice the APB license plate, he took that just for me :D [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/18804041/ss%20%282012-11-03%20at%2007.16.05%29.jpg[/t]
I couldn't have picked a sexier vehicle to put them on.
I couldn't have picked a sexier vehicle to put them on.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Also, some generic circular foglights would be nice if people don't like using those small HL2 lamps.
I like the fog light idea
Note: my current plan is to only release 1 size of each wheel, and everyone can use them as holo models and just scale them for more sizes. Any complaints with this? It will keep the total file size of the pack down, not like its much anyways, and will save me a little time.
Karbine and I have been talking about it, and since not every server has propcore and holos are broken, it would be much better to just have a few sizes of each wheel. This would barely add to the size of the pack because they use the same texture, the texture being the bulk of a prop's file size.
I'm seriously considering to just give f***s about gmod now... Advanced Duplicator 2 is broken, Axis-Centre and Ballsocket-Centre (Aka Wenli's) is nowhere to be found, ACF isn't even updated correctly, I can't for whatever reason get my GB_Radial Hud to work, Joystick Module will probably never be fixed... Please guys, if you know the developers, ask them to do stuffs.
dear bubs was looking for work, could bug him a bit. [editline]edit[/editline] asked bubbas
Praise the great Garry for fixing his prior chaos, and turning it into this wonderful game that it is today! Hurray for Garry!

GMOD is having alot of issues currently, it makes no sense to force people to use holos if they want a generic size that you can get with sprops or offroad wheels like a size 25. Just as Winston said, textures are the bulk of every model. These models are awesome but they would not fit the wheel wells of my car, and I would use them if they fit, and I am not going to use glitchy and semi unreliable means to improve the aesthetics of my car. "I'm seriously considering to just give f***s about gmod now... Edit: Oh shit I forgot a door handle on the right side of the car -.-
nice golf cart
Well I have AdvDupe2 working but it doesn't like to save any noclip states. Anyone having this problem? I guess we all have to be patient with everything slowly being fixed shiiiiit pageking. Might have to get some content soon

Tb really needs to fix the issue of being unable to save decent quantities of work...
Does anyone know how to get the "fx" function in Expression 2 to work? "particle" doesn't seem to do anything anymore and I really want my particle effects back in my E2s.
Lol...
... Also, louvers? I'm.....I'm confused....what do you mean? lol
That's what I mean. I have this car in real life, only it isn't that hideous yellow color... gawd its awful.
Just say airvents...
Just say airvents...
They're not airvents though...
Dem louvres. [editline]5th November 2012[/editline] On a side note, TF2 has a great modelled louvre prop. Search "vent" I believe and you'll find it in two sizes. Infinitely more sizes can be had with E2 holograms.
Well...I'm not making louvers....lol But mirrors and lights, that I can do. The lights will be the cool thing. I will most likely only make generic lights, but they will be pretty indeed...cause our current lights suck ass.

It obviously looks better on a better computer......fucking intel integrated graphics......shitting out hammer and making stuff look not as good as it should.
Is visclip fixed for G13?
Frankess said that he installed it on our server yesterday, so I think it is. Not sure, haven't checked for myself.
I'd love to get back into the game, and start building things again, but this update has broken waaaaaaay too many valuable things for me. I can't even spawn SProps without the damn game locking up for 5 minutes at a time!
Am I the only one who can't save E2s? It says my E2 data folder is read only, and it wont change
Am I the only one who can't save E2s? It says my E2 data folder is read only, and it wont change
No, many people are having this issue and I have seen many people complain about it on the server I go to
I guess I'm the only one who isn't having any issues whatsoever, save some issues not being able to open saved E2 codes from the Q menu.
If anyone needs me, I will be sulking somewhere.
Some proposed Wankel rotary engines for ACF. :D I've spent a fair bit of effort balancing the engines to keep them in line with other ACF engines. Sounds are from Karbine's sound pack. The B4 model is just a placeholder until there's a unique rotary model. [Edit] Updated the engines a bit. Replaced 1.3L Tuned with 2.0L. 1.0L: (2.0L equiv) 97 kg, 74 kw (99 hp), 110 nm (80 lb.ft.), idle 725 rpm, powerband 3500 rpm to 6500 rpm, redline 7000 rpm. 1.3L: (2.6L equiv) 175 kg, 131 kw (176 hp), 193 nm (141 lb.ft.), idle 725 rpm, powerband 3500 rpm to 6500 rpm, redline 7500 rpm. 2.0L: (4.0L equiv) 335 kg, 265 kw (355 hp), 307 nm (224 lb.ft.), idle 725 rpm, powerband 5000 rpm to 8250 rpm, redline 9500 rpm.
now make it break down every 20 miles and it'll be perfect. [editline]edit[/editline] Steam's been pretty troublesome the past 5 hours for me. Anything go-oh it's online now.
*vid* Some proposed Wankel rotary engines for ACF. :D I've spent a fair bit of effort balancing the first two engines to keep them in line with other ACF engines; the third is oriented more toward racing. It's more powerful than equivalent engines, although I tried to keep it from getting too out of hand. The B4 model is just a placeholder until there's a unique rotary model. 1.0L: (2.0L equiv) 102 kg, 74 kw (99 hp), 110 nm (80 lb.ft.), idle 725 rpm, powerband 3500 rpm to 6500 rpm, redline 7000 rpm. Based on the Mazda 10A. 1.3L: (2.6L equiv) 175 kg, 127 kw (170 hp), 187 nm (137 lb.ft.), idle 725 rpm, powerband 3500 rpm to 6500 rpm, redline 7500 rpm. Based on NA Mazda 13B-DEI. 1.3L Tuned: (2.6L equiv) 122 kg, 158 kw (212 hp), 183 nm (134 lb.ft.), idle 725 rpm, powerband 5000 rpm to 8250 rpm, redline 9500 rpm. Based on NA Mazda 13B-Renesis
Thats some serious power, but how did you stop your wheels going crazy at that speed? All suspensions I have tried for my 4x4 have failed -The tyres basically loose their ability to stay upright, as if the axis/ball sockets gives way. Here is what I have tried (click for MUCH bigger picture): Damping is 2m and constant is 3k on all wire hydraulics. Weight of wheels are 36, hubs (on left design) are 96 and chassis and steering piece are 288. Do you, or anyone, know what noobish, first post, probably easily solveable error I have made?

Do you, or anyone, know what noobish, first post, probably easily solveable error I have made?
I would start by placing the ropes and hydraulics and ball sockets to the center of mass of your wheels using a working copy of precision alignment. Also, I don't know what constants and dampings most people use on their contraptions, but 2m damping and 3k constant for those weights sounds bat shit crazy. My damping pretty much never exceeds 5-10% of what my constant is, and 3k for constant is ridiculously low for those weights. Are you sure you didn't get the constant and damping mixed up? For those weights, I would use a constant of around 40k to start with, then increase or decrease until I get the stiffness I want. For damping, I would probably start at 750, if it doesn't spazz with those constants, increase it, if it does, I would try 500.
