You can find multiparent on workshop. And a little birdie told me that ACF armor tool got fixed and is available too. Test of a new suspension concept for tanks. It makes for smooth steering and less lag than normal wheels, while giving good roll stability and a lot of suspension travel. I also noticed I climb like a billygoat and don't lose speed when I'm going over rough ground (my "offroad speed" seems to be much higher on average). It'll be covered by side plates in the future, when I eventually finish the tankette.
cool
I worked more on the chopper today.
OCC would be proud.
I finally got somewhere post worthy on my first GMOD model (ever, I only started playing on GM13). It is a Land Rover Lightweight Half-Tonne Series III. 4x4, ACF I4 3.1L (because there was no 2.25) and a 6 speed transmission. It is unwelded/parented, the painting isn't finished, I need to find out how to do a good suspension and then make a dash board. The body is pretty much done though, all that is left is the mirrors. I'll only post 1 picture here, but if you click it another 14 of development stages will show :) If anyone could tell me what they would use to weld/parent this, that would be great.

Make sure the body's nocollided to all and you should be set. With the same method you could use the parenting function in Easy Precision, but it'll take ages longer.
Dude, love that landie! gimme moar :3

I should probably start no colliding now, I want to do it manually so that it is realistic.
Dude, love that landie! gimme moar :3
Will do :)
Hey there. Does someone have a link to a tutorial for ACF, like turning and gearboxing and wire? I tried youtube and I can't find anything. Hope I can bring some actual content here soon.

His other vid shows how to make the steering if you need that aswell. I hope it helps :) I need some help too though...does anyone know if there is a way to parent stuff without making everything but the primary prop no collide, or a work-around? I tried using Multi-Parent as instructed above, but only the chip collides with the world in the end. Maybe i did it wrong, or it is meant to happen (just read that on the Precision Parent description), but either way can someone tell me how to do it?
Karbine's superparent allowed for collisions but that's not working so...
Karbine's superparent allowed for collisions but that's not working so...
Yeah i used that in gmod 12 to parent an SB3 ship. worked a charm. I hope it and PA get updated real soon. PS I know i said i only started playing on 13. I played 12 for a week and just messed around with mods before 13 came out.
Karbine's superparent allowed for collisions but that's not working so...
That's what Turbo Constraint is, sorta. It was going to be a replacement to smart weld but it sort of turned into a parenting tool also.
-sniparoo i found my own answer-
Karbine's superparent allowed for collisions but that's not working so...
it's on workshop DERP i posted that like 2 pages ago didn't i? Tiny tiny tiny tanks. I might throw another MG on it, love that rapid firepower. Two tankettes together is 600in, less than most single tanks. I could spawn 10 of them on dongden and not even dent performance. Like tanks? Dunno how to do image Links and I CBA at the moment. Spent a good 3 hours re-learning Precision Alignment only to have my Hopes and Dreams CRUSHED when I went to save my progress using teh Conveniently placed "SAVE" button instead of the Advanced Duplicator like a proper intelligent little bob the builder. P.S: I was Screwin' Around with a edit: nvm im a dumbass. Figured out how to use IMG thingies while complaining about not knowing how to use them. :zoid: further edit give me boxes i demand boxes for my above failures holy shit another edit god damn ok now i just deserve the boxes. i dont know how to thumbnail the images oh and the next guy to post after me is pageking, hf Damnit men, i asked for boxes, not clocks! what am i supposed to build with a clock?!
A clock tower. Page king, have an AMX-13-75 [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/qMH5h.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/9DzK3.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/MsnpG.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/qo0nG.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/bh23w.jpg[/img_thumb]
A clock tower. Page king, have an AMX-13-75 -snipped teh images-
im going to sleep in like... now, but im building a clocktower tomorrow and it's going to have a full springload powered gear system for turning the hands and its going to tower over every single thing ever to have been built on gm12 flatgrass because fuck newbie admin towers imma build an admin clock tower of doom and timely bannination!
it's on workshop DERP i posted that like 2 pages ago didn't i?
I know - I tried it along with every other tool out there before asking here. It doesn't parent with colissions like it used to, which is the one thing I need.
Spent a good 3 hours re-learning Precision Alignment only to have my Hopes and Dreams CRUSHED when I went to save my progress using teh Conveniently placed "SAVE" button instead of the Advanced Duplicator like a proper intelligent little bob the builder.
I feel your pain, that happened me sooo many times when I was making my landie. I would hit save while hosting a server and boom, all is lost. Sickening as shit. But...where did you get PA? I thought it wasn't released yet... EDIT: Just watched this video about parenting like a true noob (lol) and saw that it is meant to no collide objects...sooo... I guess the only solution is to weld everything I want to collide to one prop and parent the rest. I guess I can do that
Everybody is interested in Tony's Prop Teleporter
This is the current camo, it's a little plain imo. Thoughts? I'm not too proud of it but hey, it's a Maus.
Add a few breaks in the main material with the detail props, imo. Find something that complements the color and texture. As for the Maus, I like it.
Perfect green on that first tank.
Perfect green on that first tank.
Thanks. I can give you the colour code later if you want, it's kind of late right now.

Why did you filter that image? I can't tell if you did a good job constructing it or not.
Because he's 2 kl 4 u.
Why did you filter that image? I can't tell if you did a good job constructing it or not.
Because the car is not done, and Im not giving up every detail of the car just yet. Edit: And because I felt like making a black and white image
Where can I get the tool to edit the armor and weight for my ACF vehicles? I tried getting Fallen's tools but they seem to not work for me on Gmod 13.
AFAIK, ACF armour tool is broken. Well, the one I use works tool wise, it just fucks up my screen and doesn't show armour thickness, just weight. I also suggest using thinner props at sharper angles, thin props get more armour for less weight and sharp angles exponentially increase armour thickness (due to thickness being armour times cos(angle)).
