Wow, only 130? I can hardly believe that!
I knew egp used net library. It would have had to if it was to be compatible with gmod13. The convar is still named umsg though (I think), which is why I said that.
Anyway, how long has the speed been better? I could have sworn I tried it not too long ago and it still moved at a snail's pace. Just barely getting 2 fps.
I'll have to try later (Am at uni, so my internet connection kinda sucks)
EDIT: Do you actually build the chassis for those as well MrWhite? Or do you only build the bodies. Because it would be a shame if they never move.

Yeah, I flesh them out to the best of my abilities if I have time. I've completed the last vehicle I showed here, but I've not taken the time to get images or video of it.

Only major differences between the A's and the D's are a different engine, bit longer total length, and higher top speed and ceiling but lower maneuverability. It's also difficult to distinguish between the two by just looking at the forwardmost portion since, even though the D had a V12 instead of a radial engine, the liquid-cooling solution up front took up a similar amount of space.

Possibly my favorite plane of all time. I already did a co-build stuka a while back, but gmod 13 broke it beyond repairs, so i decided to redo it entirely. Only 65 props on this one. Also, fraps completely screwed the brightness over, so it looks a lot darker than it actually is. Done except for a few minor e2 tweaks.

I really have to build one of those some day.
So I did my egp test. Single player was great! super smooth. But as soon as I get on a server it drops to like, 10 fps max. The server has umsg_per_sec set to 100.
It could be the server needs to update, but I think it's up to date.
What server do you play on? I'd like to test it out there.
The convar is wire_egp_max_bytes_per_sec now, not umsg

I've been having problems building my newest tank... It's a 55 ton MBT and whatever engine/combo of engines I use, it does not have enough torque to climb hills and is fucking slow. It also has terrible acceleration. I've never run into this before, any suggestions? I tried electrics, turbines, V12s, and combinations of all three. I didn't mess too much with the gearbox, but I did try setting the final drive ratio equal to my gears and increasing/decreasing the gears themselves. No luck.
Generally you want the first gear to be as low as possible. I'm not a master at playing with gear ratios though, but generally if there's no torque, your gear ratios need to be lower. Like, 0.01 low.

...Would using transfer cases as my primary transmission be the problem? I usually do that, and don't encounter problems. I'm much too lazy to wire up gears and stuff.
.. Yes. A tank with only one gear ratio isn't going to get anywhere because it's going to keep forcing power into the one gear and without a higher gear ratio all that excess power is wasted.

Ah, I feel really, really, stupid right now... Thanks for telling me. Wow, I just... Wow. DERP CAN I USE ONE GEAR I THINK THAT WORKS HURR DURR WHY DON'T IT WORK. Again, thanks... This is like discovering the wheel for the first time for me. Finally, my shit won't go so slow!
Ok, i've got alottt of fucking problems.
I'm about to go to bed, so i'll just give the quick ones.
How do i create a seperate timer for holoAnim? I'm making a monoculus e2 holo thing, but i don't know how to use timer.
Also, how do i make a player's position to an angle? i've tried Player:pos():toAngle() but that does nothing. The holo will not rotate to the player's position, it will just follow it since i have holoPos(1, playerpos blablaalab)
and finally, my monoculus spams the fuck out of the admin's consoles because it spawns a prop, but removes it instantly if the conditions are not right (variable n goes up by 1 every millisecond, when it hits 1000 it starts the firing procedure, if it's not 1000 it deletes the prop), thus spamming "THIS PLAYER HAS SPAWNED PROP" in admin console. how can i make it just not spawn it at all? hopefully someone can answer all 3 of these.

You can use Player:eyeAngles()

Do you want it to face the same direction you are facing? Or do you want it to face the target?
If you want it to face the same as you, owner():eyeAngles()
if you want it to face the target
(Target:pos()-Monoculous:pos()):toAngle()

You know the conditional you have to delete the prop after it has spawned? Reverse the conditional and then spawn the prop instead of delete it.
i.e. if(N>=1000){propSpawn()}
rather than
E=propSpawn()
if(N<1000){
E:propDelete()
}

While it has retained the front end from the previous revision, it's got more of a Maybach-style rear end slope, which is more what I wanted. Plans are to have both a Diesel and Petrol version with several neat gadgets thrown in. Hopefully 0-60 times won't be too terrible, but ride quality is top priority. If I catch anyone on the assembly line even whisper words like "performance" or "handling", I'll have them shot.
