Burlesque
Cool, but I dont see the resemblance. Actually it reminds me almost of a rolls. In fact reminds me a lot of a rolls. Is the loudest part the clock?
I kind of want to see someone build a Toyota AE86.
Erm I built one quite awhile back and posted here.
HERRAFRUSH
ew I like the camber on that base though, build a kick ass body around it
Erm I built one quite awhile back and posted here.
Terribly sorry I don't remember an AE86 from the entire 120 pages in this thread, especially when my interest was only sparked more recently.
Ever since lintz so kindly informed me of the wonders of using gears instead of transfer cases, my tanks simply haven't been the same... I was overcompensating for the apparent "slowness" of the tank (derp transfer case transmission derp) so I put 900 engines on everything... Now that I updated my vehicles to use real gears, they all drive and handle like race cars but fight like tanks. It's kind of ridiculous to see an M4A3E2 Sherman "Jumbo" going over 100 MPH XD
HERRAFRUSH
No I don't like street racers cars with "tuning". Something classic better.
Erm I built one quite awhile back and posted here.
Making one now :3 I remember seeing yours and I loved it. Just watched Initial D and that's why I'm making one.
I want a map with a drifting stage. I think it would be quite a feat to drift in gmod and stay in control.

De-crappified my rear end as well, looks a bit like a Mulsanne now. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/560965477500017602/D57ED946AB74E7FDB571C79D1229ABC47190F8CF/[/t] [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/560965477500027631/321D293F700494CCE5EEAE8A622268D3EE2E07D1/[/t] Those pictures are older, the car now has 184 props with a almost complete dashboard and floor and sideboards in the interior.
I'd normally be like "oh, another picture-perfect car, fuckall props, big whoop". But 184 props, that makes it fucking well impressive. Brofist.
-Trucks- :D
I need a new rating. Truck King. Those look amazing. There is a huge amount of attention to detail. I am also a big fan of how you've been able to make use of regular hl2 props for a lot of detail as well. I'm very impressed.

Oh wow, I didn't even realize how similar these shots are to Slithers'. Same map and everything. Oops. [t]http://i.imgur.com/44oqc60.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/3M03F6V.jpg[/t] It also doesn't look like I took those shots mid-powerslide, but I did and right after crashed into a tree and flipped over. As-is it's sitting right under 200 props with no interior. Still need: Mirrors Interior Hubcaps Badge
Ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of [thumb]http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/My%20artworks/FandR.png[/thumb] I would like to present you its first product! The Jelcz 043 (cucumber bus), designed by top designers from PRL, with chassis created by best USA enginers. 256 props, weighs 9500 kg, 4.8L I6 Petrol engine, 6 gears, and with speed up to 70 km/h (50mph). [thumb]http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_driversheaven_tdm0002.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_driversheaven_tdm0003.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_driversheaven_tdm0004.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_driversheaven_tdm0005.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii113/Frankess/Gmod/gm_bigcity0007.jpg[/thumb] Appearance and controls: Frankess Suspension, seats and steering: RedReaper (Please, rate him also!) It's our first construction fully made in cooperation. And it's not going to be last :)
So, I did a case-study on ACF fuel, and this was my finding... [sub] The brown drum model in general construction props is a 55-gallon drum. Now, assuming this is full of diesel fuel, the weight of the fuel and the weight of the drum should come out to ~206kg or ~456lbs. We'll round it off to 200kg. Saying that you had the heaviest common weight class tank around, the 60 to 70 ton, you'd get, using a diesel, 300-500l/100km, or for us Americans 0.47-0.78mpg, depending on how much driving you did cross country (over bumps and ruts) vs on flat ground (like roads, most of freespace, etc). So, one of these 55-gallon 200kg drums would get you anywhere from 25.85-42.9 miles. Keep in mind, the entire distance corner-to-corner of the big bottom area of drivingmap 1_8 is 0.531 miles. So one 55-gallon drum would get a 60-80 ton tank across all of that space, in a straight line, more than 50 times, for a weight penalty of ~200kg and the space of maybe 1 ammo round. We must also keep in mind that this is the largest common tank class, and that usage will be significantly reduced in even the 40 ton class, much less the 20 or 10 ton ranges that are more common now.[/sub] The tl;dr version of this is that adding fuel to ACF is silly. Proven by SCIENCE. It could be fun, yes, but it's still ultimately silly [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] Our bus!
:D
I like the Oshkosh HET.
Frankess (and red), that has to be the most amazing bus I've seen made in GMod. How much of it functions? Like doors and such. [editline]edit[/editline] even though I'm late to the party, I want to make a bus.
Thanks. Functional things are: Doors, Steering wheel, gauges, gear shift, pedals.
The Bus Race has commenced on The Pit - look at the steam group for the IP.

Some progress has happened [t]http://i.imgur.com/3RkgzGy.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/rziaSyX.jpg[/t]
You're not going to like hearing this, but I almost get the feeling that the gaps between the doors are ever so slightly too pronounced. Granted, the rest of it more than makes up for any minor visual inconsistencies :v:
I could have done the gaps a tad smaller, but they are the size they are because it makes the overall size of the doors the same size as irl. [editline]edit[/editline] also because old mercedes, the gaps are a tad bigger than on some other cars. [t]http://i.imgur.com/UQ19P.jpg[/t] not as big as I made them though.
How do you guys make mouse controllable turrets for your tanks and such?
E2 & applyforce.
E2 & applyforce.
applyAngForce* / applyTorque* / applyOffsetForce* / setAng* I suggest applyTorque. Look it up in conjunction with Quaternions to find examples.
