I noticed that hovering over something like an ACF engine or a button gives people the good old information sheet about what its doing (if a button was on / off, what the engine was, etc). However I only get the aura. Is there an addon I've missed out on that gives this back? Could put it into the OP, been looking for something like that.

Try a fresh reinstall of ACF, it should automatically display the data on each entity. Either that, or disable some addons one by one to see if they are conflicting.

Press C, click Drawing, and make sure Draw World Tooltips is on.

Has a 1.6l diesel 4 cylinder. 0-60 in never. I made a glowplug simulator that means you have to press a button, wait like 10 seconds and then the engine starts up.

I just realized I made the front bumpers of the six cylinder version, and this is a 4 cylinder diesel Taxi. Time to redo that, whoops.
Is there a way to make a wire thruster slowly build up speed? I made a tilt rotor helicopter but it already reaches max speed before the rotors can tilt. How would i go about doing this?

I haven't been able to find any that work in this version, even the no collide in Smart weld seems broken. Maybe I'm just too bad at finding stuff like this.

I mean a tool where you select a bunch of stuff and when they won't collide with each other, none of them.

Decided to really bash The Pit around for a bit to see how far we could go. Each of the red cars are 70 props, each of the blue cars are 320 props, and the truck and stuff is over 350 props. All unfrozen and moving generated over 4500 in. What ensued was tantamount to a slideshow.

My truck was pulling 15 000kg :V, considering the truck is only 4550, 575Hp, 9.0L Petrol V8.

Jackpody, consider raising the roof up a bit. The front of that car looks gorgeous, but its too short and squat. But good work none the less!

Gonna throw a material blacklist in there in a bit, which imo would have been a better way to fix that...

Thanks a bunch. I am aware that there is a problem with the pp/copy exploit, but i never encountered someone using it, so i have no idea what materials it applies to. In my opinion Garry could have tackled this problem a bit more creatively, rather than just delete the entire material list alltogether. There are a couple of dozen contraptions i still use on multiplayer every now and again, and i'll have to re texture every single one of them..

Yup, at least that's what mine did. They work just fine in SP, but when spawned in MP the material is reset to the default one.
So people who used PHX textures will be fine, considering that is shipped with GMod, however people using say SProps or TWP textures are fucked?
Hmmmm, yeah it's working fine for me in SP too... and I can't get on my server right now to test it because wouldn't you know it linux is broken again

Both of them add their materials to the list so they should be fine.

Most vanilla hl2 materials don't work either. Basically everything that isn't on the default material list and not added through an addon can't be used on MP anymore.
