Those are awesome. [editline]edit[/editline] I made the A pillars thinner on that sportscar I'm working on, and I also lengthened it behind the front fender by 12 inches because it really needed it. I then mocked up a chassis and found out all over again that RWD and a 90/10 rear to front weight distribution doesn't work in Garry's Mod at all. I'm aware that the wheels are too big (they're size 25 right now, I'll probably use MakeSpherical and holograms to get the right size), and I know I still need to do a lot of work on the front fender. I'd like to make the roof thinner to match the pillars as well. Also on the list is the whole of the interior, but that really shouldn't be much of any issue at all. 149 props.

Excellent method for transporting beer vodkah. I have no content to post. I know. Shocking. There's no tank here. No artillery gun. Deal wit it.

Mmmmm yes, army green. [T]http://i.imgur.com/5txRBWO.jpg[/T] [T]http://i.imgur.com/0D9WXt3.jpg[/T] I just tried it out for the first time, and honestly, I never had this much fun with a contraption before.

My very first shitty little scout tank is nearly complete, just need some touch-ups. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/1117161933001252190/E06FCE72A30359044A5F47F7F7C692F50ABC69C9/[/t] It was mostly just a "just for fun" and experience project. Another problem with it is it can't hold much ammo for it's 50mm haha!
I sometimes wish AD2 worked like GitHub. You create a file name, and all revisions are saved into that file, with the latest(most up to date) one being the one which you spawn. Also... It seems like motorcycles are the new thing, so how exactly would I got about creating a realistically turning motorcycle?

Goes putputputput. 15-35mm. 14.5mmMG is pretty good.
Also... It seems like motorcycles are the new thing, so how exactly would I got about creating a realistically turning motorcycle?
I'd like to know that as well. It's the main reason why I went for a trike instead of a regular chopper.
Thing about motorcycles are that the centre mass of the motorcycle is (should be) above the center of the wheels, meaning you would have to use an E2 chip to balance the bike accordingly. Way I see it it would be helpful to have the main baseplate below the centre of the wheels to add that initial stability, so that the motorbike will stay upright without E2, and after that it's easy to use the E2 to get it to lean accordingly through the bends. It is amazing how difficult it is to make a bike ;_;
Still working on this, every now and then. [t]http://i.imgur.com/VNZmSEJ.jpg[/t] Tony helped me out making the bonnet opening mechanism thing for it. Bonnets usually fly around when driving, because Source constraints are made of pudding, so it parents the gate that holds the bonnet in place onto the chassis when it's closed, meaning it's always in the same position as the rest of the car. Meaning no flop. Nothing revolutionary but it's some pretty neat stuff, considering openable bonnets that don't cause any extra lag and don't flop around seems possible on my end. :v: I also updated the front and rear a bit, front has some minor optimizations and cleaner lines [t]http://i.imgur.com/OwhfUZq.jpg[/t] And I completely redid all of the rear, in order to make it flush better with the sides and allowing the rear portion to curve. Jackpody! Marry me! I love that car!
it parents the gate
TELL ME THIS MAGIC
Propcore. Propcore (apparently) allows for parenting through E2. I just run it through an E2 that checks when the bonnet is open / closed and parents accordingly.

How do you guys make tank steering with ACF without just turning it with thrusters
Using a dual clutch gearbox is a quick and easy way to let both tracks operate independent of one another.
If your tank is light enough you might be able to get it turning with just the ACF brakes but that ends up being quite fiddly. Some people like using weld latches to aid in turning. I personally never got the hang of dual engine turning.
with small tanks I've just done it so if the velocity is high enough, the clutch disconnects power to a track, but as velocity gets lower the clutch is taken over by a break small tanks can generally turn with one track stopped entirely and the other going at it though I've done some with two gearboxes, and if the velocity is low enough then it just reverses the drive to one track, turning on the spot ofc that isn't something that works at high speeds so at higher speeds I just do the break/clutch thing [editline]25th February 2013[/editline] still haven't worked out how to use the clutch properly though (not for turning, but actually as a clutch)
Adding to the tool :v: [t]http://i45.tinypic.com/ine613.jpg[/t] [editline]25th February 2013[/editline] wooo i got a pageking im cool or something
YES.
Adding to the tool :v: [t]http://i45.tinypic.com/ine613.jpg[/t] [editline]25th February 2013[/editline] wooo i got a pageking im cool or something

still haven't worked out how to use the clutch properly though (not for turning, but actually as a clutch)
I usually use it like a torque converter (I think it's called that) in an automatic gearbox. As in, I specify the low end of the powerband, then use the equation clamp(1-(currentRPM/LowEndRPM),0,1) to specify the clutch value. I have no idea if that's even useful though. My chip keeps the engine idling above the low end of the powerband anyway.

Hey, where do people play these days? Been over a year since I played and Im lonely on Toshkent :(
I play on ingeniousgaming.org It's a good server, little to no lag, I get a good ping despite it being on almost the other side of the country from me.
