It's all a jumbled mess, really. I'm not sure why Valve didn't just make everything according to Imperial measurements, or, even simpler, metric.

That's not a Range Rover, that's a Land Rover II. And you're correct, it is severely compacted; an extra phx 025 on the front and a 050 on the back may correct it.
Ok, Redreaper, Booby, everyone else who dumb'd my post SOME MACHINEGUNS ARE CLIP FED
Well, technically speaking, the "clip" there is basically a magazine in this case. Nevertheless, this system is dumb as hell. Also, this was kinda pointless because in your post you stated that AK-47 is "clip fed", and that's the thing what I was getting at. But still:
That's not a Range Rover, that's a Land Rover II. I build my shit based on PHX sizing. A small kart is usually built on a 0.25x0.75x150 cube, cars and pickup trucks are usually build around a phx 2x4 sheet, and large trucks are typically built on a phx 2x6 sheet with the axles wider than the sheet instead of narrower. May not be to scale with the real world but it's to scale with the player models most of the time.
I'm gonna bet karbine's right. I wouldn't 100% know, probably because I was tired when I posted it and didn't read like an ass, and also because I just scale by what generally looks and feels right to me. I used a 1x4x025 block for my last truck as the base prop and the bed is a 2x3x025 or whatever size plate. The exception to my scaling rule is tanks. Smaller is better. That's why they've usually been rolling powderkegs. I'm getting more picky about ammo placement ever since I worked out a good containment system, though, so they might grow. T-72 jack-in-the-box effect looks cool, but nto when you're in the turret.
I've been gone for a year or so, spacebuild has brought me back. All of these are under 80 props. Also if you're into measuring for size ppl, use kaf's measuring stick tool.
I've been gone for a year or so, spacebuild has brought me back. All of these are under 80 props. Very nice low-prop work.
Omfg, I remember you iosekki :D
Omfg, I remember you iosekki :D
And I remember you BBOOBBYY! <3
-snip- wrong tread.
JimmySticks gave me permission to post this, all his work by the way. It's got plenty of useful information and an e2 and GPU that deal with ACF mobility parts
All holos as usual(aside from 4 "cloud" props, 2 for feet, 1 for body, 1 for head). Too lazy to make it walk atm, but the kinematics for the legs works.
This is a relatively long-winded video of us over in GGG doing some stuff in Build To Kill. We're chasing after a beacon.
That landy is nice, it could easily be a 88' wheelbase. Not all Land Rovers are built on the 109"(series wagon) or the 110"(defender wagon) wheelbase.
Doing a lot of work on the DeLorean I posted on page 33. Trying to modify it into the BTTF DeLorean but it's actually harder than I thought, due to the amount of props it takes. So what should the car do at 88? Time travelling ovciously isn't the case in GMod, so any ideas?
So what should the car do at 88? Time travelling ovciously isn't the case in GMod, so any ideas?
Shoot fire from the tires and then explode
Shoot fire from the tires and then explode
No, turn into Heavy and eat a Scout.

Would be sweet
So what should the car do at 88? Time travelling ovciously isn't the case in GMod, so any ideas?
One word: Fly. Another words: like in Power Rangers! Doors as wings!
I mean, I personally think that it would be just fine if, at 88 miles per hour, it continues on to 89 miles per hour.
I mean, I personally think that it would be just fine if, at 88 miles per hour, it continues on to 89 miles per hour.
Well the stock version of it does that, but I'd like to make a BTTF version that doesn't.
Ok, then make it stop at 88 miles per hour. [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] In other news: perfectly normal 28 cylinder engine. vrooom If anyone is wondering, the hologram square is a method of measuring entity rotation in 720 degrees instead of 360. Fairly pointless, and it doesn't work yet. None of this works. I'm a failure.
that is quite a lot of pistons. Planning putting the engine in anything? oh and here are the pictures, forgot to post them [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/577832503075710520/850DFFECA8B055C8B6DF2F01188B625BA3090441/[/t] [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/577832503075712336/2C56E62A93565C1423479001AC6C5F285DEF28D1/[/t] The interior looks black in this picture but it's actually a dark beige, just the sunset in the pictures making it black.
that is quite a lot of pistons. Planning putting the engine in anything?
No. It's broken.

EDIT: Make it simply crash servers at 88mph.
We have a saying on our server. If something fast has disappeared from unknown reason, probably it went to an other server. Jackpody, make a movie with that car where it travels through different servers!
When it hits 88 mph use prop core and make the car dissapear then re-appear somewhere else on the map! Or, just make it take off at the speed.
So I was trying to get the systems to work. When you press the "ON" button, the device turns on. Then when you do 88, the car will teleport about 100 metres behind itself. Thing is, it all backfired and it somehow teleported halfway into the ground at about 90 mp/h. [t]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7230/7163431849_404d788ac1_h.jpg[/t]
That explains why I saw on my server half of a car stuck in the skybox.
