some more DeLorean stuff. Got it modelled, just needs some interior stuff done. thanks to mr. sticks and kai on the teleporting and the time/date/year thing inside the car. It actually shows your current time, date and year. Pretty nifty little device. It teleports away at 88 but that means it gets thrown out the other end at 88, meaning you need a a bit of space for braking it. think you can see it in the slowmotion shot I took at the end. How did you teleport the whole thing without the constraints/relative positioning of tires/etc derping?

How did you teleport the whole thing without the constraints/relative positioning of tires/etc derping?
awh, thanks. I'm using E2 setpos to the wheels in order to not make them flop everywhere when teleporting, but in order not to have the wheels exploding as it hits the ground when it goes out the other end, it locks the wheels at 88 (if the flux capacitor is on).
Uh, way too many props
Way to welcome the newcomer... Great work man!
Anyone know where I can find tutorials and examples on holo controls? Right now I have to make do with physical controls, and while they do work, they're kinda finickey to set up and I haven't yet found a single vehicle where the valve handle prop looks proper as a steering wheel. Usually too small. I also have to tie up two of my eight joystick inputs working the pedals. Also that DeLorean is fucking awesome. I've always liked that car, wouldn't mind owning one in real life as long as it didn't have the unreliable Renault engine in it. /OT
Holo controls? Like a hologram joystick for example?
Yeah, pretty much. Steering wheels, pedals, joysticks could be used as PRNDLs.
Basic holo really isn't that hard. It took me maybe 3 days to learn enough to put together the holo controls on my one minicopter. Then again I went from EGP to holo, which makes shit 99% easier. Just start playing around with the Wire e2 wiki
Yeah, pretty much. Steering wheels, pedals, joysticks could be used as PRNDLs.
Like red said its pretty easy, here is a very simple steering wheel.
holoAng(1, Body:toWorld(ang(45, 0, -Body:toLocal(SteeringArm:angles()):yaw())))
Ok my current WIP is trying to figure out ACF... Ok I downloaded it and it worked (Thank you Mr. White) But I have no idea how it works now? It used to be you just link it, make a button, wire it to fire and boom you have a working unmounted gun. Now I try and nothing happens, then I wired active into the ammo crate and the MGs and autocannons only fire one shot? I wired reload it does nothing... HELP! I have no idea how the hell this is supposed to work. I know I sound like a total noob but I am. I want to build things but ACF is like... Well it's changed so much I have no idea how to work anything anymore. Edit: Ok I used a toggled dual input so NVM. Thanks again Mr. White. Lol I have NO idea what I did incorrectly with the last download. Thanks again. Hope to post my own tank eventually!
Back to those ACF combat rules, where can I find them? Edit: Why I cant use search?
Uzkanda, you do not have permission to access this page.
Back to those ACF combat rules, where can I find them? Edit: Why I cant use search?
Happens to me too. Really annoying.
I blame Garry. ALso the acf overrun clutch is fucking RAGEOUT annoying if you're trying to make anything slow.
ACF only just started doing that to me, where it seems that the clutch engages and disengages at an interval depending on what gear I'm in. I never used to have this problem, but now I do and it's hella annoying. Guess that's what you get for usinga Beta addon :v:
Gonna be making a racecar if such a thing can exist in Gmod. Suspension works well and has low centre of mass. Not much to look at right now.

i made an apache submarine! [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12150594/Garrysmod/gm_somebuttes0001.jpg[/img_thumb]
Dat map I want it. FFFUCK PAGEKING NO CONTENT HANG ON Declaring this a WIP, because the bolter needs some details and I'll be re-doing the armor to look like actual spehs mahreen thing.

I could use somone giving me a tutorial on how to do suspension and I really need a chip for vehicle control for ACF. I tend to be on GGG.
oh my god I even got the title changed but fuck that I guess. read the title next time, man.
I can't search anything so I can't really get to any tutorial pages unless I search forever.
I can't search anything so I can't really get to any tutorial pages unless I search forever.
go to the first post of this thread.. that's what I said. I don't think you need to search to find the first post (and if you do, you need glasses). I may be coming off as an arse but I got the title changed and I hoped for it actually working.

I tried to fly it but some prop protection I think prevented me. Great work. (Saw it on GGG)

Guess that's what you get for usinga Beta addon :v:
reverse ratios will cause such problems if you use them through linked gearboxes. if you run a reverse gear through the last linked gearbox (ie engine > main gearbox > transfer case), it will work. do this for clutch and brake too. i haven't tested this but i'm fairly sure it will work. as for the autclutch, haven't really had a problem. just takes a bit of effort to get something working right. to be honest, the best way to move stuff with acf is to go engine > trans > drivewheel and then adv bs that to the real wheels. TGI is going to do some work for us now that kaf gave up on acf. stay tuned
New thing working on but I can't post any pictures. Can't pull them from Garrysmod folder and I don't have any picture support. I can't belive Facepunch won't let me just pull a file in. :suicide:

It seems that the engine hiccups in first and second gear, but after I hit about 25mph everything settles down. Rather strange behavior, really.
