I'd love to know the function of all those gauges. Do they all have a purpose?
Remember that scene from airplane? When he looks over the cockpit and he's got like 5000 instruments and shit and it plays the intimidating music? That but with legs.

They all function, but most are kind of pointless. I guess the most useful ones would be at the very top, displaying current ammo for each ammo box. I threw them on there for visuals mostly

Vertical speed, attitude, and ammo are some of the gauges in there.

Neither near finished
Track chip's updated again, folks. Now using "tracks on" and "tracks off" in chat will disable or reenable the tracks, so if someone bitches about lag or the in spike, you can tell them to go stuff it. You should be level when you re-enable the tracks, or they'll render all screwy because I'm lazy and haven't fixed some shit yet. That's for the next revision.
Also, I've found using makespherical to make a collision radius slightly larger than the roadwheel makes them look good. Just a friendly tip.

Getting there. Have it constrained including the control surfaces. Ranges between 50 and 150 ins unfrozen without its e2. Two welds, three axis-s-s. Least taxing airplane I've built yet. 230 Ents, about 220 props.
why does everyone have the attitude indicator upside down
How does ACF work when linked to several other gearboxes? If I have a setup where a transfer
case takes the power from an engine, and delivers it to two gearboxes on each end of the vehicle.
Do I have to set one of the final drives to negative and the other positive? I'm confused.
If one of the gearboxes is facing the other way, then yes, you'll need to change the final drive on it to negative.

No inspiration, since I don't know tanks. Just sort of made it off the top of my head.
I'm thinking a larger Diesel I4 mounted transversely in the rear with a front-mounted 4-speed transmission (2 forward and 2 reverse gears; I have code ready to control that much). Not sure what gun to use, but the 75mm cannon filled the space pretty well. I'd also like to pack a small forward-facing mg somewhere off the turret, but I'm not sure if I'd have space for the ammo. We'll see, I suppose.
Will post more pics as build progresses. Would like C&C if possible, as I want to get this thing right.
A question on ACF mobility components:
Do gearboxes no longer have the ability to use numbers other than 0 and 1 anymore? IIRC they used to, and it was useful for launching cars from the get-go. Was the feature removed for simplicity? Or am I just doing something stupid in my coding that I can't seem to find?
throttle = 0-100
brake = 0-100
clutch = 0-1
-snip-
Bad coding on my part.
I'm making a fairly lightweight car now, and I have some issues with acf: The 1.5l i4 doesn't have
it's own sound, secondly, the inline small gearbox makes the wheels spin in oposite directions! wth?
Just a question, are we not able to copy and paste stuff in the expression 2 editor? I try and I'm not able to do so.
Use ctrl-v instead of right click -> paste.
Can anyone pass the latest link for the ACF SVN?

There's an ACF link in OP, not sure if latest.

It now has armor and mouse aiming capability! Muhahahahaha.
Wasn't really going to post anything here before I was sure that I could at least get the front right so.
Back Saturday, I took out to the Technical Museum in Elsinore to look at old vehicles and quite obviously, the massive Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman that they have. Pretty luckily, I was allowed to take a measuring tape with me and measure up the car.
This Mercedes I'm making should be pretty much 100% on scale considering everything has been measured and lined up in GMod.

And it's not just any 600 I'm basing this off. I'm basing it of Simon Spies' 600, which had some neat equipment. The whole passenger part of the vehicle was like a calling center so Spies could make big investments and such in the back of the car.
Here's a pic I took of Spies' 600,
[t]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8015/7520422038_8f8a52c132_h.jpg[/t]
And taking measurements:

Also, a bit after I made the Green Grosser a while back, I bought up a 1:18 scale model of a Grosser. Even though it's short wheelbase and the one I'm making is a long wheelbase, pretty much everything except the length is the same.

Also this is pretty cool, so I'm going to make interior in the GMod version too, obviously, so even the model I bought has genuine leather interior. Looks pretty cool.

Also trying to make the engine and general stuff underneath the bonnet look good. Should be pretty accurate to the real one,

Also giving it the Mercedes Benz badge later on, if I can finish it without using a billion zillion props. It's already ~350.

was taking pictures, probably should have noted but that's my father who helped out taking them measurements. was actually pretty fun though, got a gallery of some of the stuff we saw here
Thought Jack was a 70 year old man there for a second.
