128 GB of RAM owns*
What about the processor? RAM stores info, Processor is the calculator. N stuffs..
Would like to say that Dong does not give two fucks about the DeLorean going around on the server. [editline]edit[/editline] however it does attract some interesting people
Jackpody - benzing: you guys got wiremod? MCpatcher604: idk Jackpody - benzing: oh dear god
:v:
there were two minges on there earlier spamming ropes and jeeps all over the place, and shooting people. the server was a war.
there were two minges on there earlier spamming ropes and jeeps all over the place, and shooting people. the server was a war.
that's still happening, even though one guy started crying and left. [editline]edit[/editline] also karb, you should make commands like !goto and !god work for the rank or whatever you are when you join. seems a bit iffy when people are killing eachother and you cannot protect yourself. and when someone asks you to go to them but you have no idea where the fuck they are.
will do
So I've been toying with makespherical, and so far the only thing it's done is introduce a strange shimmy into literally everything I've used them on. My latest little golf cart thing is no exception, and it shimmies so badly at high speed it will eventually spin right out. Low speed? It's fine. I can't for the life of me figure out why the spherical wheels do this. This also happens to vehicles I built before, vehicles that didn't shimmy on normal wheels, but do with MS wheels. It's weird. Edit: Sorted the shimmy. Apparently live axles and MakeSpherical don't get along all too well.
yeah but it would also be nice if ACF supported multiple engine links so that you could make heavier tanks without going 5kmh :v:
It does, and it has for several versions now. I've got one skid-steer that has three transmissions and two gas turbine engines. I've got another truck that uses two radial engines, and I once linked about 12 of the enormous V12s together to power a giant-ass meatspin made out of cargo containers. I need to stop getting drunk and then going on MWS. also new dong den, I got today 6ms ping.
Fiddling with making something resembling a small agricultural pickup. Think JD Gator. Currently has: Shift-on-the-fly Hi-Lo transfer case. Options are: 2Hi, 4LO Five forward speeds, one reverse. Fully automatic transmission 1200cc V-twin engine To do: Make it look cool, controls, handbrake(It does awesome handbrake turns when prompted!), and some adjustment of weights and elastics.
Well at least I managed to get the minges out. I set on fire 800 barrels of explosives then the server began to give a fuck, huge lag spike, disconnect then reconnect. Magic the server was empty and clean. WIP 1: GoKart v4. TODO: make it look coolz. Fix the thruster steering. Wip 2/Red's track chip test: What the heck happened to the tracks !! Found ya ! Hovering and spazzing at 50m from the ground. PS: I am not enough curious to know how to thumbnail. Someone tell me so I don't hurt people with lousy bandwidths. EDIT: Dang 1st time pageking. Posted content.
Is their any tutorial out there on how to make fin propeller aircraft?
]a change of pace
I guess Im not the only one building decent sized warships. I started this two days ago, so far it needs an interior and some more exterior work, working guns, armor, ACF powerplant, and some propellers. My first boat: Will be equipped with 12X 203mm Howitzers and 2X 20mm anti air MGs It will weigh about 21 thousand tons when completed, hull armor panels need 50tons just to get 128mm of armor
Pictures of a Nice Ship a change of pace
The main reason i stray away from boats is because so many servers dont seem to carry Gravity Plating, and it's awfully hard to move about a moving contraption without it.
The pics of boats makes me want to make a crane to put one of those into the water. OR make a smaller boat and tow it to a lake.
you linked the tracks wrong. Turn around your chip and reset it. Is acf/makespherical/pa/easyp/sprops/ad2 gonna work with gmod13?
you linked the tracks wrong. Turn around your chip and reset it. Is acf/makespherical/pa/easyp/sprops/ad2 gonna work with gmod13?
I know for fact that MakeSpherical and AD2's going to be ported for GM13. ACF is probably too, considering our lovely devs are around. Not sure about everything else though.
I would join the boat race if I knew how to get them to float properly...
i watched the movie Battleship so i just had to make one. i'm digging up my old sinking system for it; basically ammo detonating in sections of the ship triggers some wire weights in each section of the ship... makes it slowly sink.
I really wish I could build :( I've given up on vehicles because even after watching tutorials I cannot get the suspension and steering right. Hmm...where next?
Captain Obvious says: don't detonate ammo underwater. Also why not just parent a wire gate to the ammo, remove if on fire, then parent some of the bouyant stuff to it? Also I put a 105 on an uparmored truck. 125 props jesus fucking christ I'm gonna kill servers oh my god
I know for fact that MakeSpherical and AD2's going to be ported for GM13. ACF is probably too, considering our lovely devs are around. Low-ish buoyancies work best.
yo i was busy working on my mighty fc on my crapintosh when i realised i dont have PA... i heard it was in wenlis tools but i am obviously not doing something right when installing it. it likes to not work, or i like to be completely retarded. probably the second one. also versions is bein a jew when i try to svn acf, it wont let me drag my stuff to the addons folder. basically versions is for people who like to svn what they want, then look at it while it waves it in front of your face, then tosses it in the fridge and padlocks it. versions is willing to give you the code for the padlock, if you pay it money. so while acf is rotting in the fridge with last nights tilapia, i was going to find out how to get PA cuz i cant work without PA.
Given up on my ship cuz I can't get it to cruise on water properly. No propellers powerful enough to move 3000 tons k i tried to hook up 2 propellers with 12 of the biggest most powerful engines and it moves like 5mph
Giant Tank + Ship Battles. Make it happen. Also can someone please link me to a tutorial on how to make fin propulsion.
oh my god [editline]edit[/editline] i vouch for dong being the server with the best people joining. we had the guy who had no idea if he had wiremod. now we have this.
Jackpody - benzing: I am producing an obsucre penis joke MrBRAD!: i am quite the penis joke connesuir bloodknight93: mum says not to say that nasty word Jackpody - benzing: penis bloodknight93: stop saying that! bloodknight93: thats nasty
:v: also I did some work on the DeLorean, nothing major but let me find something so I have some content. [editline]edit[/editline] made it look less rusty.
playx + meatspin. Do it. Also do you realize just how truly massive those guns are? It would be probably bigger than the old schwehr gustav gcombat had. [sub]Also I took this pic.[/sub]
Yeah, and a realistic maximum range would probably dwarf 10 max size maps combined.
Also do you realize just how truly massive those guns are? It would be probably bigger than the old schwehr gustav gcombat had.
Aren't they about half the calibre of the gustav? Length would prolly also be similarly shorter. ofc having three of them in a turret makes up for it.
It might be a good idea to build on a smaller scale if you want "realistic" ship warfare, at 1/4th scale those battleship guns would be around 100mm, which is still too large for any gmod map(imo), but its better, and then the ship wouldn't take up half the map.
Aren't they about half the calibre of the gustav? Length would prolly also be similarly shorter. ofc having three of them in a turret makes up for it.
They're 381mm in physical bore, figure about 50% more across at least because that's shell diameter and not barrel diameter including barrel wall. Barrel walls are very thick for rifled long-range guns like these. Using people as a scaling system, they'd probably be at the very least a 1x8 phx tube size (really a bit more). The barrel at its base is about 4 feet. This is why I said the GCX schwehr gustav, which was quite large and (if I recall) roughly similar dimensions.
