Jeez, all you people making Abramses, why no love for the Challenger 2?
Made some progress on my skyline :O

Abrams tank is easy to make. Just spawn a bunch of random props, close your eyes, think "Murrica FUCK YEAH" thoughts, and you're done! :v:
In all seriousness the Abrams is the more popular of the two so more people know what they look like.
9,000 Abrams built vs 500 Chal2s. That might be part of it.
[editline]7th September 2012[/editline]
also oneman you posted the spgs and the Abrams I do believe.
I bet if the Challenger 2 got more media coverage we'd see more people building them. Great tanks, every bit as good as an Abrams.
On another note, I can't get that sexy miata gauge cluster to work. I get the 'numbers are blocks, needles are fucked up diamonds, colors off" error as well. I went onto google and found a concommand to fix it, but when I typed wire_holo_modelany 1 into my console it said command not found. I updated wire after he posted it. What addon has that function in it?
I got it to work with the modelany command you said, it's part of Unofficial Wire SVN, UWSVN also, more content since I'm possting :O

Edit: This is my first time building something like this with sprops, and i keep forgetting the squares are half the size of phx.... So i just realized this shit is tiny

WATCH OUT! AMERICAN SUPERIORITY LECTURE IB!
Currently working on a recoil compensator for ACF guns. But you don't get to see because it is secret ;)
I could get an orgasm if I do a successful build of a Dodge Charger R/T 1970

I once worked on something Charger alike
[t]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7229/7395763470_22eea2db63_h.jpg[/t]
gave up though, too many props and was generally not worth it.
If you don't finish that sometime I might cry.

Needs a 9L+ gas V8 in the front, no ass grip, and some sort of smoke mechanism for the back tires. Burnouts, yo!
I've actually rigged vehicles to do smokey burnouts before. It's pretty easy, though my system was created way back in the stone age. It compared the RPM of the front wheels with the RPM of the back wheels, using tacho E1s attached to each tire, and if the rears spun while the fronts were stationary, it fired smoke thrusters on the rear wheel plates. Worked great, and since the wheel plates are always embedded in the wheels on my cars, the smoke looked like it more or less came from the tire. Not sure how it could be done with the modern plate-free suspensions though.

That and today the fastest cars are usually AWD. You'd need to have some math that compared the diameter of the wheel to it's current actual velocity, and if it's rpms were so much faster than its 'expected' rpm then it would say create a sound of tire squeel. Then from there if it grew even faster it produced smoke.
For the sake of content, i thought i'd post some bonus screens. Heres Wrex working on the E2 powered headlights. For a moment there the light was actually inside the body and gave it a pretty awesome Tron look.

And heres an Autoloader Minigun powered via a radial engine

[/quote] For the sake of doing brakestands simply comparing RPMs between axles would still work. You'd disable power to the front wheels in that situation anyway. Since that's all I wanted when I designed my tire smoke system that's how I set it up. If I were to rebuild it in E2 I'd probably do:
if(RPMRear > RPM Front) {Smoke = 1} else {Smoke = 0}
I suppose if you wanted to make them squeal and smoke any time they slid, or wanted to do four wheel burnouts, you'd need the more complex system. You may even need something that takes slip angle into effect, if you're spinning out the tires may stop entirely but would still smoke on a real car. It's all way above my E2 skills though, I barely have a handle on if statements...
Incidentally it was hilarious to jump my burnout cars and watch the system trigger in midair :v:

give it 2 me pls
Why are you faggots rating everything iwancoppa posts dumb?
I suspect its because of the prop count on his car?
so he builds something that looks good and gets dumb ratings
while someone else posts a bathtub car and gets rated winner...
Last post by Iwancoppa: >10 posts ago
Number of 'dumb' ratings: 2
And before that post, he hadn't posted for more than 3 pages.
Let's try to get our facts straight, mmk?
[editline]8th September 2012[/editline]
Ratings mean nothing anyways.
wait what
what is this I don't even

The vertical stabilizers on that plane look horizontally tilted, increasing air resistance (if it has fin). Is this on purpose?
It's an F117. That's how the stabs on the real jet are positioned. So yes, they are on purpose.
I guess this counts as a wip

You should change the material to make it look less matte, also throw in a few details here and there. Change the wheel material also.
