GCC: New Contest (Happy 4th of July!) - Garry's Mod

Okay. Like I said, I'll make a thread tonight. At the moment, there's not much to see. Only one team is done so far. :v: I don't really care if I'm supposed to make a thread when I have nothing. I'm an oldie, and I'm used to the times when a contentless thread was a bannable offense - so I wait until I have content.

As long as you have a relatively solid concept and you intend on making it, it's fine to post.

Can it wait until tonight? I intend to get a WIP gameplay video up tonight.

Progress is going slow, but at least I have planned out almost every aspect on paper. I will post a thread once I have more solid content done.

I'm in though, I hope to not get crushed by the other participants. I've already written down some ideas thanks to my brother. I also hope to not get too busy with the other fixes in the other gamemode :sigh: one week late shouldn't be much :v: Oh and, can we offer a negative amount of money as prize?

Bullshit. I was cleaning my GMod folder yesterday and I think I accidentally deleted my entry. I'm going to start again from scratch, though, and make it better.

Once I get the main recycling system done and the base for fretta working I will make a thread. I already made all the useful entities and a "How to make a map" project.

I was going to make a thread like... Four days ago... But I got distracted making a ragdoll animator, and starting a new gamemode... Yeah... :munch: I mean, minus the easy-to-make upgrading system, my entry has been done for the past two days. I just have to summon up the will-power to make the upgrade system. And that requires at least 15 minutes of work. I don't think I could do it.

Sounds like we're getting a nice load of entries this time around.

Why when I go to see the countdown it says "Get Thunderbird!" ?

My gamemode is getting out quite well, it may be ready in some days too though. I don't think I'll use fretta as base it gives me a lot of problems, I even had to make a round system by myself. Anyway if we make a thread about our gamemode wouldn't it let other participants "take" our idea? Or there's a specified rule for that?

They'd already be too far behind you to catch up and rip it off anyways.

I should finish that upgrade system my entry needs soon... But Zombie Survival is far more entertaining to work on... :ohdear:

Since there aren't many entrants, it would be really cool if the deadline was extended a little or something. Just so people who haven't participated yet aren't discouraged by the only 11 days left.

It discourages late people because they assume that they're way behind and don't have a chance. What happened to all those people who said they'd participate?

I want to enter, but I just can't make the time to actually get much done.

Some people (like me) may want to get more content done. I will probably post my thread at the end of this week, or when I have a trailer done, which will, if ever, only happen at the end of the next week.

I can't wait to see other people's work. I hope my work is not too badly-done compared to the other participants' one...

If enough people are actually going to enter with an extension, I will extend it. Otherwise, it will just be stretching a contest with very few entries (like the last one).
