I got severe cancer, then I died whilst in the hospital. As I was fading away, I heard the most amazing guitar solo I had ever heard. I saw the light, and walked towards it. The music was getting louder. Suddenly there was a burst of light, and I was in Heaven, witnessing the most amazing thing I had ever seen. Jesus was playing a guitar solo on a 64-necked guitar atop a wild cougar with laser cannons. Jesus looked down at me and said, "Son, download Garry's Mod. Do so, repent in your sin and then you may enter my kingdom." He high-fived me which instantly cured my cancer, before I was sent back down to Earth.
And that is where I am now. Thank you, Jesus. You have some mad guitar skillz.
I believe it.
ATI card > steam > utube > CATAPULTS > Then i was like omfg i want to luanch cats
I was looking for mods on the steam store, saw Garry's Mod, it said it was free, little did i know it had been updated to GM10 so i bought it and played it.
searching for half-life 2 on utube then got some video
i wondered what it is then started looking for free versions :pirate:
My older cousin got me playing a earlier version (maybe 6 or 7) of it, quite a lot has changed in Garry's Mod since then.
Watching war of the servers...
Went over to my friend's house and he showed it to me. At that time I was more of a console gamer and the graphics made my jaw drop.
I saw it in some kind of warez forum.
Tell us how you found garrysmod.
I found it by watching youtube videos.
x2 lol
seeing the idiots of Garry's Mod...
Played it at a steam internet cafe, and I was hooked instantly. Even with no mods whatsoever, we had killer LAN parties on garry's mod and built giant fighting robots. Aaaaaaah, such good times, too bad it closed though.
looking for a game to past time and is fun and cheap and what do u kno GMOD
I was looking at roleplaying games and stumbled upon garrysmod..
My friend's cousin and and friend's friend showed it to me at my friend's birthday party.
Got it a few months later after getting a better computer.
I didn't know about it 'til one of my :buddy:'s on Friends told me to download this.
Lucky for me I already had CSS, HL2, and HL2 DM.

It t'was also GMod 9.0.4
I found it on Fun-Motion... wished it for three years.. then last christmas i got it.. and now i am here :P
Well my friend kept saying 'get gmod' every day. So then in the end, I got it. Then he stops playing gmod as soon as I get it and starts playing WoW.
Came across Lost Coast - Bought HL2 - Bought Orange Box - Bought CSS - Downloaded Loads of HL2 Mods - Found GMOD 9 - Spent 23 hours a day trying to make gman into a surfboard - Bought GMOD 10 :D
A while ago, I was an avid player of Star Wars: Jedi Knight Jedi Academy and Makermod, a mod that allowed you to build on certain servers. I mentioned Makermod on a forum somewhere, and somebody said that it sounded a lot like Gmod. I googled Gmod, and it looked quite fun. I eventually got the Orange box and Gmod 9. I eventually submitted to Gmod 10 and bought it.
I saw it on G4 and I saw it mentioned on the Newgrounds forums.
saw it on steam while looking in the indie games section
Was looking at physics simulations on youtube, found this very video right here.

I saw the same exact video, not exactly first but on the same day I discovered gmod.
i watched 100 ways to die on machinima (youtube)
I saw a 2 second clip of it in a youtube poop 1 year ago...yeah
I found gmod when i watched War of the servers.
A lot of my Steam friends had it at the time, so I went ahead and bought it since it was $10, well worth my money.
I watched this:

Saw Garry's Mod in the tags and looked up more videos from it. The first time I saw some of the stuff I laughed my ass off and was amazed all at the same time. I knew I had to get this game when I saw some now gone movie called Gman Land.
I searched for Rube Goldberg machines on Youtube.
Saw a funny video a while back that was made with gmod, so i looked it up.
