Played on a hl2:dm server on a map with lines of spawners to spawn props, where we just placed them on each other to build things. I said it was pretty cool, some other guy said that i should check out gmod.
I looked it up, found pictures of sex poses and thought wtf is this? I didn't bother and then i looked it up one more time and found out shit for real, downloaded v7 and fell in LOVE. The first thing i did was retardedly pose gman's face on the introduction of the level construct in my life, which, unbeknownst to me would undergo a series of manifests and changes to evolve into what we know as construct today. I thought it used to be a bit bigger though in GM9.
v8.3b was the SHIT. It was the first version i made a helicopter in. good f'ckin times.
It was a rainy october night in late 2008. I had just had a run in with my dealer and killed him with a phone. I was alone and shooting the drugs i had just stolen into my arm in a dark alleyway hoping nobody would drive past me. i began to feel woozy and blacked out. i woke up several hours later to the whirr of a desktop computer. i looked up to see a game called "garry's mod" on the screen. i felt sick but i was alone in the room so i decided to get up and see what it was. I havent left the chair since.
I was watching "The Idiot Box" on YouTube some months ago. As I was cracking up a buddy said the program used costs only 8 euro. I abruptly stopped laughing. 6 hours later I was the proud owner of GMod including the orange box, TF2 and CSS:)
I had CS on my old Xbox, looked up Valve, and here I am.
I guess it was the YT video "Idiots of Garry's Mod". Made me lol like every second...
Was watching hl2 videos on youtube and a garrysmod video was in the related videos sidebar.

Well, first off I discovered L4D then I found Portal and I was on youtube searching for vids on them and found GMOD!!
I was watching a modded version of WoW, where they made giant statues out of chairs.
One of the comments was "Did you do this in Gmod?"
I wus like GMoD? Then searched it up on youtube.
I proceeded to watch awesome gmod videos until 6 in the morning until I decided to buy it.
Thats when my rein as minge started.
My friend yelled at me for 30 minutes in Steam when I refused to buy the game that looked so un-appealing.
Needless to say, he convinced me.
To this day I love him. :smile:
my cousin was talking about it once ....didnt rly pay attention that mutch then he came over ...... showed me some videos and i was hooked
Browsing thru steam's games.
Dad's friend's son played it. I'd go over to their house every once and awhile. When I finally got a gaming pc 3 years later, Garrys Mod + Team Fortress 2 was the first thing I bought on Steam.

Friend of mine introduced me v8.3a back in '05 or so.
Searching for rag doll physics or something on YouTube.
I once saw a video that used it and thought it was a cinematic mod or something.
This was before ever knew about Valve source Half-Life hurr durr.
Then I find one of my favorite comedians has a video up talking about Garry's Mod 9. I thought he had a friend named Garry with some kind of crazy server for another game. Google shows me what it really was, I get TF2 and Half-Life and live happily ever after.

A friend showed me "The Neverending Construct", and I wondered WHAT THE HECK kind of game was Garry's Mod, that you could do such random crap...needless to say, I was hooked.
I was just stuffing around on youtube when google DIDDN'T own it, and i saw some garrys wrestling video, it was pretty good, i then after watching it thought "DAMN this garry guys an amaizing animator!" then researched around and got gmod 9 then immediatley on release got gmod 10

I looked up Mythbusters on Youtube one day and came across "gmod mythbusters" and I thought to myself "This looks like it could be fun". I downloaded Garry's Mod 7 because it was free and I had all the requirements for it. I messed around with that for about 3-4 months, then I got Gmod 10. That's how.
I was looking for Stargate mods then stumbled acrossed a video of SG addon.
My friend had it. I was hooked. I would come over to his house all the time to see gmod. Not him. :buddy:
