my friend told me about it.. Went to search for garry's mod in internet. Found the website. looked at the pictures. they all sucked. so i was like garry's mod sucks, why would i get it.
but i end up wasting 85% of my free time playing garry's mod.
Saw my friend playing it, before that I thought it was a horror-style mod to Garry's Mod. Bought it one year and half later myself. Now I am addicted to it.
Garry's Mod Steam page should include "WARNING-May cause severe addiction. Not recommended for people having access to computer 24/7."
I saw some cloud8745 vids with Cloud and some other guy playing with nukes (Firing the redeemer in one way and using a flying airboat to go into the other direction).
I fell in love with gmod that day.

My Dads friend's cousin is staff of Gmod, and he told me about it, he dosent work for them anymore, that was back in V5 when he left and i just had to buy it
I was looking for some videos of nuclear explosions (they are fun to watch) when I stumbled upon a video of that old nuke addon for gmod 9. I was like "Ohh what's this?" and after a few more videos I knew that I had to have this game.
Anyone who knows how to get hp and so on disappear via console? Any help is appreciated^^ Btw I saw it on youtube.

Haha good memories. I don't exactly know how I came across it, but I was watching YouTube videos and found the "Bananaphone" gmod video. I couldn't stop laughing, so I searched for gmod and found it, but unfortunately didn't buy it for a year because my current computer couldn't handle hl2. I'm glad I upgraded.

Oh Way Back in like Garry's Mod 5 I found these really cool Video's on this Site and I spent month's Looking for the name of that Game, Turned out to be Garry's Mod =D
i found a game called halo ce on youtube and it was in the related list then next day i saw it on x-play
When I came along? Well, Garry mod 9 was released but with a different formula..... Now we have Garrys mod 10, but to get that, you have to either Credit or Debit the game to the entrapreneur. Anyways, I decided to "Not buy the game" because it was a mod, and all mods are free..... But until today, December 24, 2009, I relized that the game was in a special price, and decided to buy it. So I bought it. Now, I get to return into the physics world of random, called the "Garry". By the way, why did he named his construction game after his name? Garry is a common name for a male boy.

It all started when my dad got me hooked on steam. I was on HL2DM all the time. My new friend (as of 1 year ago)'s steam page mentioned GMOD.
However I never thought of buying it. 8 Months later I decided... Huh... I'm bored of TF2 maybe I should try GMOD! But at the time (and it's still the case) my parents couldn't buy me it because of financial issues.
So jokingly (half jokingly actually) I asked my friend when he got on GMOD and said gift me GMOD lol jk. He was like sure I'll get you it sometime.
About a month later I was downstairs playing some games from like 2002 with my old Xbox. I come up, and I see a steam popup saying I got GMOD gifted to me from my friend. I fricken pissed myself and began downloading it.
The second I opened the game I fell in love with it.

It's kind of a long story.
I had GTA 2, I liked it, so later I bought the new GTA games every time they came out, and then I got GTA: San andreas. I really liked it, and my friend told me about SA:MP (playing it multiplayer), so I tried a mount chilliad madness server by team fackin', and they had a gmod server. I started reading about it, and got steam, and got the orange box, and CS:S+GMOD.
I came to garry's mod thanks to my brother and youtube. :v:

My friend showed me Dr. Strangeman. The idea of a game with so much freedom seemed awesome to me. And a few days later...

I saw my brother watching some badly made GMod video which was somehow funny, I looked up GMod and it looked really fun.
Since I couldn't be arsed to actually pay and download GMod 10 I just kept watching the videos until someone gave me a CSS Guest Pass, fuck yes, I was really lucky, I ran CSS played a game or two and then installed GMod 9.0.4, it was the most fun I'd ever had on the Source engine until I got a virus and had to reformat my PC, I lost the Guest Pass and GMod 9.0.4.
After a year or two my father, who actually had a credit card unlike me bought it. My days of awesomeness and making random contraptions were not over. Once I actually had CSS I installed it, ran it and mounted it onto GMod and it got even better.
I still get nostalgia over GMod 9 though. :sigh:
