I used to script for HL2DM. Some guys were talking about how Gmod was easier than scripting, and I looked it up a while later.
I bought it the next day.
I bought because i saw some videos on youtube about zombie survival (10€)

My friend was playing the ol' Gmod 9 and sucked me into it. When I made a sofa that moved around with razorblades and shot lasers it was so mindbendingly awesome that I had to get it myself.
After that, I got Garry's Mod by a Steam Gift. Nowadays I hardly play it anymore as it has lost most of it's charm. Sometimes I boot it up just to walk around on gm_construct.

You should really give it another serious try, there's so much more you could do.
I found GMod, oh, I'd have to say two years ago when my friend showed me and another friend "100 Ways To Kill Yourself In Garry's Mod".
I didn't understand it, but I sure as hell wanted it. I also watched Dismemberment Mod videos.
I saw a Rube Goldberg machine video back during gmod 9 and was so confused and drawn in that i bought hl2 and the mod a couple weeks later.
Found out by watching those stupid youtube poops. (My brother loves them)
I came across it looking for Physics games on Youtube/Looking at Funmotion.com
I thought it was pretty cool at start, but I had to try it. (That might not make sense to some people lol)
Anyways i'm on it everyday now! I love it!
My friend and I downloaded G-mod 9 for free. (after 10 came out)
After I made a bathtub Car I was hooked.
Youtubed it when I noticed machinema type videos of it about 3 years back.
Downloaded Version 9 via torrent >.>' (i know...)
Then paid for it about a year back.
My mates downloaded it (pirates) and so did i we played on cracked servers and stuff.
Then i bought it about a year ago so i could play on actual servers and have more fun :D
Found it while watching some videos of Stargate on youtube :P then brought it and loved it ever since... and thats some years ago now

couple of friends from Wolfenstein ET had it, so i thought, imma get that, bought Orange Box and Gmod at same time.
first time i saw it was on a youtube video called "Mario commits suicide" and then it had a link to garrysmod.org files and i looked at it and was like ?.
i was interested but later stopped, years later, someone showed me "gmod idiot box episode 7'
and i continued looking, this same guy had been recommending l4d to me, and i heard about the steam, the half life, and then found gmod, months later id pulled it all together, and got gmod 10.
but, it crashed on loading, so i used gmod 9 for months. someone noticed i had gmod 10 and assumed id finally bought it, i told em it crashes on loading, and he aspired me to look for the solution, i did. it crashed loading Direct X 9 so i forced it to Direct X 8.1 till it was done loading.
and thats my story.

Believe it or not, youtube about 3 - 4 years ago after watching a video called: "How to cook Mossman".
Basically it was a bath-tub on fire with mossman inside it being thrown about like a frying pan, it entertained me so I wanted GMod.
:D infact it was gmod that introduced me to HL2 and the rest of the source games I had never heard of before.
I watched some youtube vids but my parents won't let me get it.
I really want to try it but my mum says if you but your info in there then it could get stolen and the account emptied?
If anyone is nice enough to let me get a copy off steam then I will be your slave!

If your over 13, you can buy it urself with a paypal account.
- get a job or do some chores
- then open a bank account over the internet if you are shy
- then open a paypal account
- then buy gmod :D
OR YOU COULD TELL YOUR MOM TO LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE OF GARRYSMOD.ORG to see 65,000+ verified members, I am pretty sure that if garry was taking our money, somebody would have noticed by now.
What other games do you need to buy to make it work and will it work on Windows 7?
I first saw it on some YouTube video and then a friend on Steam started telling me about how "awesome" it was. And I regret believing him.

I was on Youtube and saw a video that i think was called 'How to get rid of minges'. I saw more videos and thought it was awsome. I got it about a month later.
That video changed my life.
I looked around on youtube and saw a video on a guy that made a spaceship with sb2 and then i bought it a few days later
some on on msn had "any one has a gmod 10 account" and i googled gmod

ok when i was about 6 or 7 i heard my older brother and his friend talking about it. i asked them and they show me garrys collossus. i was like :O i was speechless. it was awesome! not before then i started playing it! now im around 11 and im REALLY good at lua

I don't know if its possible in your country but in Sweden, there is something called an "E-Card". That is an one-time creditcard that has a specific amount of money on it. Its generated on your banks webpage. Its the most safe way to pay for games online and noone can steal your money in your bank account. I don't use it sience its freakin' complicated. Ask your parrents about it.
